Lovely Sunday lunch, home made gravy! They coped well with a large party of twenty five. Lovely friendly atmosphere.

Have had Sunday Lunch here 3 times this last couple of months, and will be going again today. Lovely home cooked style Sunday lunch here, very friendly service, dinner was piled high and loads of tasty gravy. Couldn't eat all my beef even though it...really was gorgeous, but luckily I've got a very greedy husband to help me out! The plate was piled high with veg too, cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, peas, roast parsnip, carrots, potatoes and roast potatoes. There was also a yorkshire pudding with stuffing inside it! We couldn't move after all that and were well satisfied all day. Fantastic for the price. My only reason for not giving 5 stars was that it was quite dark in the room and I was cold, but will remember to wear an extra layer this time.More

The Sunday lunch was really tasty & home made gravy too. On the down side those tables (came as part of the deal for the new owners i'm guessing) just aren't suited to 4 people eating. Still the issue with beer on tap. Again there's...a pump for Brains Bitter but no beer. When we visited there was no card payment either but i guess that will come in due time. Staff are delightfully pleasant & eager to help in any way they can. I hope this pub takes off this time, it's so roomy & could do so well but had no luck in the past with several owners.More

This pub has recently changed hands and provides a decent menu, including 2 for £10 on some dishes. We had fish & chips, scampi and sirloin steak. All were excellent, with really good-sized portions too. Drinks seemed cheap too for a pub.

called to the commercial hotel , for the £2.99 dinner . on sunday 2/11/14. for our taste buds , it was the best dinner, we've had in 3 years and 30 different restaurants. the beef was lush, cabbage , carrots, peas, Yorkshire pudding , roast...potato and potato's were cooked. to how a dinner should be cooked . complements to the chef . a credit, to welsh and uk food . will go there again.More

Work it out! 2 for one all meals which are simply great pub grub & how can they do burger/chips on a Monday at 99p? Steak was tender, sausages on my mixed grill also delicious along with other meats, chips great too. Only given 4/5...due to to niggling annoyances such as tables for 4 aren't that big for 4 people so we pushed 2 together, there was no hand dryer or hand towels in the gents and the 'Doom Bar' (ale for the uninitiated!) was, as yet, unavailable. There was no garlic & mushroom sauce either sadly. However, is it a welcoming place with good food at good prices? Absolutlely it is so...go & eat at a price that's a treat!More
