Most enjoyable meal

The mussels, hake and monkfish dishes were delicious. We visit here every time we stay in Saundersfoot and enjoy every mouthful 😊

Fantastic food

We had tried to book here last year but they were too booked up, so we booked in Feb this year for June! Well..it was worth the wait, the menu choices were amazing and the waitress we had was a delight, so friendly and able...to advise on the dishes available. We had the scallops, crab bhajes, mussels and the smoked mackeral scotch egg for starters, oysters and seafood curry, there were four of us and we were all delighted with our choices. Simply and stylishly decorated and a warm and welcoming ambiance.More

Out of this world - it's that good!

I entered seafood heaven when my husband and I recently ate at The Stone Crab. From the start the atmosphere was buzzing and we both loved the decor, like a seafood shack close to the beach with all sorts of fishy items on the walls....The music was just right, mellow and not too loud. Service was excellent, Tracy our waitress and Erica loved meeting customers and giving advice on the food and wine. Our starters pepper and salt squid was amazing, so moreish. Mark the chef on that night smiled when he saw the delight on my face when eating this dish. Then I had a whole lobster and boy was it huge especially the claws! It was delicious Then a second night eating there when we had Cameron's amazing cooking his crab bhajis then more crab in spaghetti. Gorgeous lemon sorbet with fine lime shavings to finish.More

The best ever!!!

Prawns are incredible

Such a lovley and welcoming atmosphere nothings to much trouble the prawns were cooked to perfection the scollops are amazing will definitely be returning very soon

Amazing service & food

Disappointed

Visited with family for a special birthday, we complained about the scallop starter being over cooked and the waitress said she would tell the chef, the crab and prawn starter were good, we had the posh fish and chips for main course and what can...I say thought I was eating a rubber band it was so chewy and very little lobster meat more like a lobster tail, and again over cooked, maybe the regular chef had a day off or was having a bad day, but it was not good for the prices they charge our bill was £270 with a round of drinks. Very disappointed after waiting months to visit this restaurant.More

Wow! What a team!

I don’ know where to start! What a fabulous evening, with fabulous staff and utterly delicious food! We booked The Stone Crab in advance, once we knew we were coming to Saundersfoot, as we have wanted to eat here for a while, but it has...always been fully booked - understandably! I’m so glad we got a booking as it was honestly some of the best food I have ever eaten! We had oysters to start…which were so fresh and delicious! My husband had the cod Kiev, which he devoured and I had the Indonesian Seafood Curry….which I am still thinking about days later! It was packed with seafood….and had a freshly caught mackerel on top too, which was really nice! Honestly….the flavours were out if this world! Such a friendly and knowledgeable front of house team too and it was great to be able to see the magic happen in the kitchen! Thank you all for a really enjoyable and memorable meal. It may have been our first time but it definitely won’t be our last. A very talented team of people. Thank you.More
