One of our daughters has Coeliac disease (gluten free) and trying to find a place to eat and trust is now harder. We visit the Malton area of North Yorkshire now and again and we really wanted to find an excellent Fish and Chip shop. We telephoned Eastgate fisheries in Pickering and spoke to Paul who couldn't help us enough.... More

Read previous reviews and we wasn't disappointed ordered haddock lightly battered to takeaway and I have to say it was delicious the batter light and crispy the chips 🍟 had a real nice sweet taste to them you get a good portion too they also sell cod plus chicken nuggets battered sausage,pies curry sauce mushy peas and gravy Eastgate fisheries... We live at Bridlington, right on the coast. But yet we go to Pickering quiet often to have fish & chips. Good fish & chips hard to come by but these at eastgate really are excellent. We visited here whilst in Pickering for fish and chips. THese were very good and the batter on the fish was nice and crispy.
