Just been to The Mcorville with my wife. Wonderful night with good steaks, warm welcome ,great atmosphere and fantastic live acoustic music from Sam Gibson a very talented young man from Newcastle. Can't wait till next Thursday for more of the same!

Visited for the new Fizz/Tapas with a group of friends and couldn't be more pleased with the individual service provided to my friends and I. The food was delicious and in general was a lovely night. Great re-vamp of the place and a welcoming landlord. Would recommend to all!

What a cracking pub, it's just been taken over by a new land lord who has / is revamping and investing time and money in to this venue. Locally brewed real ale on tap from The Captain Cook Brewery, which I have to say is a spot on pint, open fires and friendly atmosphere. Well worth calling in!

I called in for the first time with my wife and mother in-law and we all had a meal which was fantastic. It's a shame I was driving beacuse the beer was very nice as well,I will definitely be going back. The new landlord and landlady are very friendly and can't do enough the make you welcome.

We stopped off here for a quick lunch because it was conveniently located just off the A19. We got a good welcome with a nice fire and a friendly atmosphere. The homemade soup was very warming.

A bit biased because we are local on go for Sunday lunch quite a bit. Staff are friendly and make a big fuss of our kids, the food is good and plenty of it!
