Visited the Kirkstyle Inn on Sunday after a recommendation from a local business. Both myself, my wife and our Boarder Collie enjoyed a great roast beef Sunday lunch and banana sponge and caramel desert which was amazing. We were very pleased with both value and...More

The Kirkstyle is part of Britstops so we rang ahead and stayed with our campervan. The journey there was stunning with autumn colours and glorious views. The welcome matched the journey; the young lady was friendly and efficient ..... but then so was everyone else!...More

Good food, very friendly prompt service. Plenty of choice for vegetarians. The wedding happening at the church next door was an unexpected bonus!! Definitely a place to stop if you are doing the South Tyne Trail!

Yes, dogs are allowed in, all we ask is that they are kept on a short(ish) lead at all times and are on the floor not furniture. We are recognised as "dog friendly". Hope to see you sometime. Regards, Andrew

This inn overlooks the South Tyne river and its beautiful fells. Situated "off the beaten track" it well rewards those who travel to find it. It is also a very good lunch spot for those who ride the narrow gauge railway from Alston. The Kirkstyle Inn has been awarded a TripAdvisor " CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE" for each of the last five years, placing it in the top 10% of establishments, worldwide, for customer satisfaction!
