Went in for a few beers and to watch the football on a rainy Saturday afternoon in October. The hand-pulled beers were all excellent, and both the staff and the locals were extremely friendly. Brilliant afternoon.

Great Welsh pub. Friendly staff and a proper local. The beer is good quality and plenty of choice. They have sport on but you can find a quiet corner for a drink and chat.

We have visited this pub a few times and the prices are cheaper than other places in north wales. The locals visit this pub and the staff are friendly with lots of seating available. A warm welcome awaits you when you walk in this pub. My partner enjoys watching the football here. It's a typical local pub, whilst the furniture... More

Pen-y-Bryn hotel is in the market place at Llanrwst as soon as you walk in you sense a great welcoming atmosphere - they have a varied selection of locally brewed beers, lagers, and others on tap as well as my favourite Greene King Abbot Ale, always served in excellent condition at just below room temperature - I visit the Pen-y-Bryn... Typical small town pub with plenty of atmosphere, you will get a decent pint here but service is not that good when it is busy as the locals always come first and the decor could do with a major overhaul!

Good beer - guests were all local when we were there. Friendly staff and locals. The pub dog is a charming labrador too - a bit bouncy and easy to excite but still lovely. Very cheap indeed in comparison with places nearer the coast.

This is a great pub with a brilliant atmosphere. They serve a wide selection of beer and two or sometimes three real ales, a visit is highly recommended
