Just returned home to France from a wonderful weekend rugby trip to Twickenham, what a game. The whole weekend made complete by celebrating my 70th Birthday on Saturday night at the White Swan, the food and the service was brilliant, thanks to the two young waitresses who looked after my party of ten so well, we all had a really... Having lived in Richmond for 10 years, that White Swan is my go to place when I have friends to stay and we are looking for a great English pub to visit for drinks or lunch. Sunday lunch in the summer in the garden with friends or a good catch up by the fire in the winter, the White Swan... More

Ghastly pickled onion. The only edible thing on the plate was a pair of orange slices - what do those have to do with a... More

You know when you go somewhere, stay there for hours, depart and realise you took absolutely no notice of the surroundings due to being mesmerised your companion? Well... ...I vaguely remember a welcoming and traditional bar, wood floors, smiling & efficient bar staff, superb hot & crispy chips (jar mayo didn't escape my attention though) smooth, rich and delicious pâté,... Very much enjoyed my first dinner at the White Swan. The service was very good and friendly. Plan to go back. It's also a very cozy pub and looks to have a lovely back garden.

I've been here a few times over the years but not recently. It was a welcome return and feel sure I won't wait so long for the next visit. It is a lovely old pub first of all and welcomes dogs. We came in for Dinner and were impressed with the ambience - which was mainly couples and groups having... More

Such a pretty walk across the Green to reach this pub with the river at the end of the road too. Great menu, club sandwich was delicious and generous, great wine and otter beer served!
