We were there quite early on a Sunday evening about 8 pm and were the first guests that evening. The restaurant is very simply decorated; it's strength lies in the food which for the four of us was very good. The price was also OK by Richmond standards (high) about £85 for 4 drinking just beers and water.

Our friends have eaten here before but this was my first visit. We shared two starters, one a chaat & the other something I'd never heard of - both were excellent. I asked the waitress to recommend a typical Gujerati dish for my main, and so I had Methi Chicken, which was lovely. Friends had Goan Fish, Lal reshmi chicken... More

The best of the best Indian/Gujarate food! We've been coming for 5yrs x 2/3 times a week and NEVER has the standard dropped! Expect slow service because everything is cooked to order and is fresh not powdered ingredients! So, ask if you want anything changed i.e chilli or ingredients added or taken out etc because they are cooking it for... More

This is truly a gastronomies heaven for an authentic Gujarati eating experience. Gujarati food is a variant on Indian food but it has less oil and the flavours are more complexed and involved. This is not an Indian meal that you need to be in a rush to eat because everything is made to order and is incredibly fresh and... More

There is hardly any Gujarati cuisine on offer other than some 'chats' on the starters which are common North Indian snacks. The food is tasty though not authentic. The bhel on the starter menu is pretty good. The jeera chicken was random chicken tomato curry tempered with more cumin seeds. The paneer Kadai was tasty tomato sauce affair. The achari chicken... For our £36 we got 2 large beers, a tasty stater of potatoes in a spicey sauce, tawa lamb which was full of flavour and very tender, sag and cauliflower plus rice and a nan Both main dishes were of a good size and the meal as a whole was more than enough for 2 Meals took about 50 minutes... More

As you can see from the majority of our fantastic reviews we have received. Our customers generally rave about the originality, quality and the authentic taste of our dishes. We cook all meals to order, as per the customer's request. To indicate the size of the dish, it is the customer who requests the dish as a main dish or... More
