We ate on the terrace and it was a delightful evening. Service was attentive. Food was well prepared. Nice wine list. Parking lot available nearby. My partner had a confit lamb leg which was outstanding, and I had bream which was well prepared. Veggie sides...were flavorful and fresh. Charcuterie plate starter was very nice. We were SO glad we drove into town from our hotel for this meal!More

As others have written before. We were 4 adults for lunch att 12.30. Not many customers yet. Long time for taking an order. Wrong starter served for one of us. His order came in when the rest of us had finished. Same thing happened with...the main course plus that other customers who came later than us got their food before us. The waiters had obviously no control. We ordered for water 3 times but it never came. About the quality of the food: Well, it´s not worse to put your foot into this restaurant.3 of 4 starters were okay, only one of three main corses was acceptable. The salmon had just the taste of old fish, drowned in a thick mealy sauce without finesse. We didn`t eat much of it and the waitress didn't even ask how it was. I guess she saw it on the plate. The desert with carpacccio d`oranges was a desesaters with sour and not fresh oranges, the pannacottas were okay but again one of the desersts had been forgotten. When we asked for icecream to get an alternative as fast is possible, we were charged two more euros. That really gave us the rest. Conclusion: Avoid this place!!!More

The best place fir seafood in the north Languedoc… seafood us not usually eaten here except at Christmas. However the new owners have decided to add music to their terrace in the street. Now normally I prefer the natural hubbub of conversation but if the...music is discrete acoustic or jazz or even French I don’t object. However being blasted with a BoneyM disco mix with Ra. Ra Rasputin totally ruined the ambience and the meal. So after 1 0 years of regular visits it’s bye bye.More

We enjoyed our meal here, because the long time at the table suited our schedule for the day! €22 for two course menu a touch high, but probably justified by the quality (and generosity) of the dishes: oysters, marinated sardines, magret de canard, whole trout)....Drinks prices strange: 3.90 for 25cl anonymous draft beer (extortionate), 5.50 for 50cl pichet wine. Service was so slow, no criticism of the single server in charge of 15 tables, who had to cross the street and climb stairs to the upper floor to collect every order and return used dishes etc. Whilst we were seated, two people arrived and the only available table (other than one in full sun) had yet to be cleared. It took 30 mins for the empties to be removed: after another 10-15 mins their order had still not been taken so they left. As other reviewers suggested, they risk losing customers despite good quality on the plate!More

I had the pleasure of dining here for lunch 3 times during my 2 week visit to Clermont-L’Hérault. I had no reservation but was greeted warmly. I was always seated with a lovely view. The menu arrived promptly along with the most delicious bread. The...waiters and waitress were kind, welcoming and attentive. The restaurant is located on the Main Street with a lovely, airy ambience and the music was set at just the right volume. Even the playlist was impressive. But the most wonderful thing about Tournesol is the food and wine. On my most recent visits I enjoyed the €19 Menu with beef carpaccio for my starter and île flottant for dessert. The grilled salmon was excellent as was the stingray (aile de raie). I highly recommend this restaurant, which is why I dined here thrice.More

We ate supper in the indoor restaurant upstairs, which is attractive and well-lit. The menu at €29 offered good variety. Tartare de boeuf was the star of the starters: the fish in the main course was uninspiring, but the desserts were excellent. Wines are expensive....Service was adequate but lacked warmth.More

We were greeted in a friendly manner then lead to a table despite no booking and the restaurant being full. It was a Tuesday and lunchtime. We chose the Formula Euro 19. It included entree, main course and dessert. The wonder was that each course...had 5 choices! We all had the Salade Italienne entree which was delicious and dressed with a piquant pesto. I chose the grilled salmon and the others chose the Ray wing. Conversation slowed as we started to eat and savour our mains. Our wines were also excellent. A St Chinian white wine and a Faugeres Rosé. Finally dessert was chosen and we chose between the Orange slices steeped in Orange Blossom water and the Apple crumble. Both very tasty. The atmosphere was lively and happy with families, singles, business groups and couples. We were second last to leave but never felt any urgency to leave. We left with warm goodbyes from all the staff. Highly recommend for an enjoyable meal with many excellent choices within the Formula.More

Lunch.... Not too busy Menu looked interesting Our order was taken....and then we waited and waited..... I ordered Badoit....Perrier was brought and opened, with no comment that they did not have Badoit. We waited. ...more people arrived, ordered and we're served. The staff constantly saw...we were waiting. After 35 minutes , I made it clear we were still waiting. ...our order had not made it to the kitchen , it had been out on the 'paid' pile ! Eventually, the lady came to ask what we had ordered. After 45 minutes, we left.....we were too upset to eat. They seemed surprised that we didn't want to stay !More

we found this restaurant at lunchtime, it was superb. The lady in the wine merchant was so helpful, so much so we took our daughter for her birthday in the evening. I can highly recommend the sardines, they are delicious!!

We visited the market - held each Wednesday -and tried this restaurant for lunch. Very important tip: reserve your restaurant before well before lunch, and definitely before you do your shopping. Most of the choices will be fully booked. We arrived with one table “sort...of in the sun” left. Big mistake. It became definitely in the sun, and unbearable. The service was AWFUL. We have been in France for weeks on this trip, and visited the south of France dozens of times before, but we have never waited as long as this time. At least 20 minutes before menus and water arrived (while we were getting a sun burn), then nearly 30 minutes after ordering for our salads (too hot for the formule, which by the way seemed very, very expensive by local standards). We were not alone in waiting, and waiting - most of the tables around us had the same problem - altho we were the only ones baking in the sun. The waiter literally threw the main course plate on to the table of the lady sitting next to us - and she still needed cutlery. Two fellows near us were about to leave after their appetizer - the wait for the main course was so long. The restaurant is seriously understaffed, and maybe with more help, things might have been better. They should also set up some system for shade - I literally thought I was going to faint in the sun. As far as the quality of the food- we couldn’t really tell. Our salad was ok - but the experience was ruined by the seating conditions and service. Nice bathrooms, though.More

Overall we had a good meal here however our main courses weren't hot which for me is such an easy thing to make sure of and so important. The food was tasty and well presented but this just let the place down.
