We arrived at a very busy restaurant and was shown to our table. Drink and meal orders were taken In a friendly atmosphere. Starters and main meals were well presented and timely delivered. However then it went downhill - we ordered more drinks that never arrived and had to be re-ordered along with the dessert menu that seemed to take... More

Contrary to some other reviews, we had no problems with either the food or service at this appealing Cheshire pub The menu choice was good, with specials also available. The salmon Wellington was moist and tasty and nicely presented whilst fellow diners enjoyed pork belly ( as ludicrously over-priced as ever) and rib eye steak We shared a platter of... More

We often walk here on a Sunday with the children and have a drink and nibbles whilst they play in the play area. The pub is dog friendly which suits us and it always seems to be busy. We decided to eat here on Monday night and I have to say that the standard of the food was below par... More

We thought we would try plough for somewhere different. Ordered small fish and chips fish was cold in the middle. Salmon wellington which looked lovely but the pastry was sloppy and Pork belly which was not cooked properly too much fat and the meat was just not right. We did complain and this was knocked off our bill but unfortunately... More

Sat in the Beer Garden which was lovely, ordered a burger meal and a Cheese and Onion Pie. After one hour still no lunch despite being told it was being plated up 10 minutes earlier (after asking) 70 minutes later still no food so we decided to call it a day. The Manager told us the wait was because the... More

Very disappointed with the managements response to a power cut the night our meal was booked. No attempt was made to make contact to advise that the restaurant would not be able to prepare food despite leaving a contact number. Instead diners were allowed to turn up to be told the pub was closed. In our case we were with... More

We have been visiting the Plough and Flail on and off for the best part of 15 years, originally as a free house, now as a Lees pub. It's hard to find, but better signposted these days. On our latest visit we found the staff very friendly and the service prompt and efficient. We had the good value lunchtime offer,... More

Went today for lunch with a friend after our lengthy dog walk. We were made very welcome as were the dogs. The food was fantastic as was the service. The new management team have already made a huge difference!

Never fails to impress; friendly and helpful staff and a great menu. Beer, wine and food all presented and served to a high standard - well done!
