The first course was nice, but the main course was served too cold. Send it back to the kitchen to warm things up. Got a new plate with warm fish, was good. Until we asked for the bill. It was charged twice because the fish...was not meant to be served warm. So they had to make a new plate and because of that they thought they could charge me twice. Not a very friendly way of treating customers. There was no argument to the owner to persuade him to change his mind. So we paid double....so stupid.More

we went to il torre di barratti with our friends and kids and spent a lovely afternoon at this most special place. we had a nice lunch, tasted the local olive oil and wine and were mostly impressed with the fantastic deserts. olive oil icecream...and a tiramisu to die for. also the homemade ice cream on a stick was super delicious. we would recommend this place anytime and will definitely return next year.More

We ate here as we were staying in the hotel part of the estate. The menu is small but the food is delicious, much grown in their own garden. The atmosphere is relaxed with wonderful views. The presentation and service were excellent. Good range of wines....It is quite expensive but worth it. It is quiet in the week but busier at weekends. Highly recommended.More

beautiful location in an agricultural land above the Gulf of Baratti with breathtaking views and olive trees and vines in nice presence. nice restaurant in marine style and rustic at the same time (without tablecloth in full post service). very kind and professional service. the...menu of meat and fish reduced but with seasonal products and good quality. our dishes were good but the egg very bland (I ate the same dishes in many high-end restaurants). even desserts are good and well presented ... in general an nice evening in good atmosphere ... Tuscany rural and sea style and delicious food !More

We did not stay here but stumbled on the restaurant for lunch after visiting the nearby Etruscan necropolis and acropolis. The open air restaurant was very nice and quite comfortable. The view of the bay, the beaches and the mountains was fantastic. However, the food...eclipsed the view. Every course was memorable and the service and wine selection ere equally great. Several times my wife remarked that it had been years since she had seen me enjoy a meal as much as I enjoyed dining here. The tomato spaghetti with mussels and the goat cheese based cheesecake are must orders.More

Small hotel/agriturismo on a hill overlooking the bay with fantastic views of the Gulf of Baratti from the terrace. Fantastic meal with very fresh, local ingredients (we could see the vegetable garden from the table, and the cook picking blackberries from the hedge to prepare...some jam for the next day's breakfast). Dishes were assembled and presented carefully - mostly modern interpretations of Mediterranean and Tuscan cuisine, with unusual matches (raspberry vinegar granulation with swordfish tartare, or cypress-flavoured sorbet, anyone?), and tasted wonderful. Prices in line with the level of cooking and presentation. However, what stood heads and shoulders above the rest - and it wasn't easy - was the level of service: we called to book, could not get through (phone reception being what it is around the hilly coast) but were called back a few minutes later. We were given advice on how to get to the best place for a swim after lunch, and a host of other small details that showed us that the people at the resort really care about their customers. We will definitely visit again!More
