Fantastic food and a lovely place to sit with family. It was busy with locals so obviously well thought of in the area but so warm and friendly to us as visitors too. Children well catered for with toys and the ability to choose flexibly from the menu. Oh and it’s in a gorgeous building. Don’t give up if you drive up and can’t instantly see where to get in - go into the car park and through the hall door. Loved it.

Nothing to find fault with, fabulous food, friendly and a great atmosphere. Saw the sign on the roadside and thought we would chance it, thank goodness we did. Will definitely call in when passing next.

This is an absolute treasure of a café. It is located just off the main road and in a converted church built just over 100 years ago. The Bald and I received a recommendation to go here when we were walking the dog on Pwll Gwaelod and we were so glad that we stopped. You walk into a large open church area that is spotlessly clean, has a wide variety of different size tables to sit at and it operates table service. Impressively as you go into the café on the left, there is a fabulous area for young children to play. Kitted out with lots of lovely stimulating wooden toys. The café itself also sells local crafts which are first class. There is a whole array of different items that are definitely affordable if you want something a little bit different. It was around lunchtime so we decided to share a Panini. We had the ham and cheese, with home-made onion chutney. It was served on a plate with a lovely side salad, plenty of crisps and a little coleslaw. It was delicious. The Bald opted for some looseleaf tea, yes he did manage to get some in the bottom of his little bone China cup. I had a soft drink. The bill came to £11.50 and we were more than satisfied. The food was fresh, made that day and I simply cannot fault it. they had home-made quiche and a wonderful array of cakes on display. If you are in the area, or you are just passing on the main road I suggest you take a slight detour to fill your boots here. Quality for money and a great area to spend an hour or so. If you’re here on holiday, you could even pick up some delightful little gifts. To steal a phrase from my dear friend Arnie, “I’ll be back.” Thank you.
