We visited every night during a recent holiday at Fishguard Bay Holiday Resort. The landlord and landlady, along with the locals, were so welcoming. The drinks were well priced and the basket meals were both scrummy and great value. Will definately be back next time we visit this area of the country.

From outside a quiet unassuming little countryside pub.
A warm welcome and good service from all the staff.
We had an enjoyable afternoon drink, scampi and chips sat in the beer garden.
The place was spotless.
The food was as described by the barman simple fare, but good quality, well presented and very enjoyable

We had a couple of drinks with friends and it was lovely to visit again after such a difficult year. It was warm and welcoming and felt “normal” which was very nice. The refurbishment that Julian and his family have done looks great. The drinks were good value and not overpriced.
We were reluctant to leave but we will be back. Next time we will have food which looked simple and appetizing on the nearby tables.

Visited the pub several times during our stay in the local area last weekend. The pub was very clean and inviting, and had a good choice of drinks available. The landlord was very friendly and chatted several times. Table service was also very good. The locals were also very friendly and enjoyed a good laugh. The pub was decorated to a nautical theme and had a big log fire which was much needed on quite a cold, wet weekend. Despite being busy, the pub was clean and Covid safe. Would definitely visit if we are ever in the area again.

The pub did not follow Covid safety requirements. None of the staff wore face masks. Customers were able to wander around without face coverings. They did not enforece table service only with a number of customers standing at the bar. Although there was supposedly a one way system customers seemed to move around with no regard to any one way system. As a result I, as someone who is at high risk due to medication, did not feel safe to remain in the pub.

Thoroughly enjoyed our recent visits to The Ship Aground whilst staying in our bungalow in the area. As always, we received a warm welcome from Julian, Alison, the rest of the team and the locals, with the beer to its' usual high standard. The place was buzzing on the occasions we visited and I only wish that this pub was in Cardiff!! Looking forward to our next visit.

Great to see the Ship Aground open again. Not serving food as yet but same warm welcome by hosts Julian and Allison. Choice off ales on tap and full bar. Cosy bar area with roaring open fire

Staying at Dinas Cross for our Pembrokeshire holiday, how fortunate to have this wonderful pub in walking distance.
The Shipwreck beer is beyond comparison. A fabulous tipple served by Julian the landlord. Although very much s locals pub, this place is a must for any beer drinkers that love a fine real ale..

The Landlord Julian and his family gave us a warm welcome when we visited twice llast week when staying at Aberfforest. Basic menu because of Covid but delicious and plenty.

Julian and Alison offer a super friendly, child, dog and dirty boots welcome and it’s our go to place. Food is pub grub and the locals make you feel like your part of the furniture.

Great pub, just wish we couldve taken the dog in. Plenty of seating, but too cold to sit outside with her.

Called in for an evening meal and sat in the garden with the dog. Menu is typical pub food but beautifully done. It is fresh and well cook with generous portions. Everyone friendly and helpful. Good selection of beers.
