Excellent food with lovely service, a real superb treat. Three course meal ( one of which was the best my wife has ever eaten) but all together a real food experience. A tad expensive hence only 4 stars, but would definitely visit again....

Very welcoming reception and service. A wide selection on the menu and a veritable feast of a meal. Fine ale and wine. A very enjoyable early evening meal.

Everybody very pleased with their choices for Sunday early evening. Friendly service too. Prices more towards £££ than ££ but delicious food and great variety of choices. One of the best address in the Ely Soham area.

Description
Tucked away in the Cambridgeshire fens, The Merry Monk started life as three cottages in the 17th Century and from there became The Red Lion Public House until 1992 when it was renamed The Merry Monk. Roaring log fires for cosiness during the winter months and a garden rounding off a gorgeous country restaurant offer perfection for enjoyment throughout the year. Our focus at the Merry Monk is a casual and inviting atmosphere.
