Some of the best burgers we have ever tasted. It can be a bit of a wait in the summer months, so arrive early

I cannot say it's the worst or the best since there are only few choices in the area. And after surfing or hiking for hours we all are definitely starving .My burger was big and good but my wife got food poisoning with the lamb burger. At least that was what the insurance told us .We got to say that... More

It is probably the best hamburger we have ever eaten in NZ. I asked a Bull Eye. The meat was perfect, the bread was amazing... it was a great composition. The guys are very flexible offering great gluten free alternative to my girlfriend. They were very very friendly. The service was exceptional! Really worthy place!

Amazing Food at this place. Small but well thought out menu. We tried a good selection of the Burgers, the fish and chips and the coffee. All exceptional and done in a delightful low key. Not flashy but real kiwiana in both the setting and the style. Well worth the excursion. We'll be back soon to try more on the menu.

One of the best kept secrets in Marahau this 'cafe' operates out of a large caravan - don't be misled, this is typical good, clean, wholesome, Kiwi Fush 'n' Chups plus lots of other choices. Sitting outside on bench seats and, if you are with friends, it is advisable to book space at a table - trust me, it is... More

We went to the fat tui today for lunch. The burgers were really nice, they tasted of beef and there was a lot of salad and dressing. The buns were good too with seeds. It was good value (compared with most of the New Zealand prices). We had been recommended the fat tui by a friend and were not disappointed.... More

Recommended to us by family, we arrived just before 12pm to avoid the queues and we could see instantly why we were recommended to. Service good and food was amazing. Couldn't decide so split with a friend and was so glad I did as both were amazing. Only advice would be don't bother ordering large chips as a pottle prob... More

We had a great meal at The Fat Tui, based on the recommendation of Scott at the Abel Tasman Lodge. The food was delicious, and my hubby enjoyed the veggie patty burger option. They serve from a cool little caravan! They had something for everyone, even ice cream, but we were too full to try it. I definitively recommended sharing... More

Secluded at the end of Sandy Bay-Marahau road, is this brightly painted food truck with an awning attached to it and some picnic tables out front that serves the best honest kiwi tucker ever! With gourmet burgers called "the cow pat", and "Sparrows Fart"...you know you are going to get something special. Good portion sizes, fresh ingredients, and great taste.... More
