Visited for the first time as a family of 16 and had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely and great value. Will definately return

The atmosphere is truly lovely, the staff are very friendly. We didn't try the food however, so cannot help with that. Would definitely visit again.

Description
A listed coaching inn set in the heart of the Kent countryside. The Chequers oozes history and charm with its oak timbers, mullion windows and inglenook fireplace. A fine selection of real ales and wines. The home cooked food is excellent, locally sourced and good value for money. There is a large outside seating area, with a family garden to the rear. The Chequers has recently been refurbished and we look forward to welcoming you. Open: Monday 5-11. (No food) Tue-fri 12-3 5-11(Food 12-2.30 and 6-9) Saturday 12-11 (Food until 9) Sunday. 12-8 (Food until 6)
