This is a great pub to eat, the food is small portions but tastes superb and the price is nearly okay for some dishes but expensive for ordinary dishes but would still recommend.

This is a delightful local pub restaurant. You always find locals in there Food is lovely with plenty of specials and a good selection of fish dishes It's always busy, even in winter so do book in advance. Staff are incredibly friendly

Its been a while since we visited the Ship .A weekend to ourselves and it was an opportunity to see how it was. The Service was prompt, friendly and with a smile. Drinks were ordered and arrived. After a short wait the starter arrived Battered Prawns were very nice. The mains were a chicken salad that was plentiful and a... More

Went for lunch with family on a busy Sunday . There were six of us, and ordered a variety of food. The food arrived in good time, and was very good, and tasty. We all had a main meal, and a desert, which was also at a good price. Has a great selection of real ales, but as we were... More

Very disappointing, the eating area was very busy so we thought we were in for a treat, but the service was poor, we had to find our own menus, and ordered home cooked, beer battered haddock and chips. After a wait of 35 minutes it arrived, with none of the usual accompaniments, again we went to the waitress station and... More

This is a fabulous little pub. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely staff and the food is consistently excellent. My husband and I have taken to popping in here for a meal when in that part of Devon and cannot find a single fault in the place (and being ex-publicans, that is flattery, indeed). We love it so... We always enjoy the food here. How they manage to produce it in their tiny kitchen, I don't know. It is always nicely cooked and well presented. Their 'Specials' are fish or seafood which are unfailingly delicious. Sunday roast with all the trimmings is hard to beat too. Their friendly waitress Sheila is a real gem and makes you so... More

Lunch is served from 12noon onwards. Car parking is available. Warm log burning fires. Friendly staff. Fresh fish- I had the whitebait to start and mussels for my main, lovely! The only thing that they could've improved on would have been to have the white wine sauce that the mussels were cooked in to be creamy and substantial as it... More
