I rarely put reviews on Tripadvisor (busman's holiday as they say), but I wanted to say what a welcoming pub this is. We visited twice while walking the Welsh coast path last week. We enjoyed tasty food and perfect service and there's a decent drinks list, too. It was also obvious from the welcome given to others in the pub... More

Dear Emma C, thank you for taking the time to review our place. It is tough running a pub where we are, needing the support of visitors and locals to make it work. We always try our best and it is nice to be appreciated. Carry on walking! Best wishes Paul More

Dear jkenty, thanks for your review and I'm sorry you thought it was a joke as we take our business, and your opinion, very seriously. Visited this restaurant for the first time and have to say that we really enjoyed the food. We were the only people in for lunch, but then it was a Monday so I guess to be expected. We chatted with the Manageress who was also doubling as a waitress and found her to be extremely friendly and welcoming - overall... More

In response to previous review from Nigel E - this review is from "The Rowdy Party upstairs"!!! We were a mature family group plus friends attending our wedding reception with 28 adults + 6 small children. Our decision to hold our reception here follows past excellent service & quality food. Telephoned ahead to book a table for two in the restaurant We got there and realised a rowdy private party was already in full swing The downstairs room was empty- all the noise came from upstairs- which we found was the restaurant- the staff were not expecting us - didn't know who we were- but offered us a table upstairs-... Dear Mr Ranty McRant Rant, first may I direct you to "OUR SPECIAL DAY" review of the 16th April 2017 as the "rowdy party" have a few pertinent comments. You have one fair point: there was a wedding reception and your booking should not have been taken; our computerised booking system failed us on this occasion. Our staff did everything... More

I visited with my mum after buying a Groupon voucher for afternoon tea. Without meaning to, we managed to arrange it for the same time as a Welsh rugby match and the bar was packed out when we arrived. However, we received excellent service, even to the point that the person serving us went through their full range of herbal... More

We're local and delighted to have a place like The Welcome trying something different to the usual pub food menus found across Gower.
