Walking in you think the place needs a make over. Tired decor. Elderly server. You look at the confusing menu and it takes too much time to figure out what to order. Worse, there are too many things on the menu, How could all this be properly cooked? What's the chance of big time disappointment? Well, wrong! Everything we ordered... More

We enjoyed a lovely lunch in this charming restaurant. There was a feeling of going back in time. The service was good and the food typical of good Siciilan restaurants.

Agree- one of the best meals we have had in Sicily. Swordfish carpaccio was outstanding. Vegetarian caponata was not tomato based and flavored were great. Nero d'abla pasta unusual and perfectly spiced. Spaghetti with Shrimp simple yet served piping hot and delicious. Most pleasant was the host and hostess- warm sweet people who were concerned with making our evening memorable.... More

This is a hidden gem in Agrigento - we were staying at a hotel in the Valle dei Templi and wanted to get into the city for a dinner, and this was a stunning meal. Started with the house-grown-pressed olive oil, grassy and spicy and delicious. Appetizers were the snails and octopus, very hot and spicy and cooked to perfection,... More

Old fashioned family hospitality with first class dining. We didn't completely understand the menu but everything tasted wonderful. Not much English was spoken but by the time we left we felt like old friends. Very highly recommended.

Food was imaginative and well done. Service was great - a very personable family running the show. Loved everything - especially the seared tuna and Nero d'Avola pasta. How they set up the menu was a little confusing, but it wasn't a big problem. Would definitely return!

Our B&B recommended this place when our first choice (Kalos) was closed. The welcome was very friendly & informal, and the food good. Especially the tuna starter - lightly seared chunks of tuna with lightly curried mayo and tapenade on alternating chunks, with peppercorn & spinach jus - flavours which really worked together. Would be happy to come back here!

We received a warm welcome despite having very little Italian. The menu is laid out around food groups, rather than courses in the normal way. The staff took great pains to ensure we chose a meal we would enjoy, and we did enjoy it. The best place we found in Agrigento.

This is the perfect example of just how family restaurants should be. The menu is interesting, dispensing with the normal structure of primo, second etc and focussing more on food types. however, what is even better are the food combinations which make the overall experience more of an adventure. Bottom line, however, is a really good meal, beautifully cooked and... More

La Posada... is a fantastic restaurant. It is not just that the food is well prepared from good ingredients, but also the unexpected but delicious combinations: lime sorbet and shrimps? Fantastic. We came one evening and were so impressed we visited again the next day fit lunch.
