My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful time here. The food and drink were everything you could hope for. The owner Delfo and his staff made our visit special as well as some of the local patrons we got to know while having drinks and dinner. Delfo clearly takes a lot of pride in his establishment and in the... More

Pros: This is a wine bar only not a bistro and no way an Italian restaurant. We found a good wine selection on their shelves, reasonably priced. Following the recommendation of one of the owners, we ordered a regional wine for which we were ready to spend EUR 18 as indicated on its price tag. Cons: As food we ordered... More

We got an "aperitivo" with a great Nebbiolo and eating some well prepared simple dishes. The quantities were suitable for an "aperitivo" and, in any case, the place is really nice in the ancient part of Cernobbio. The menu was very attractive and next time we shall have the lunch there.

After 32 years in the area, I sometimes want an authentic experience in our very touristic community, and without having to pay movie star prices. This was actually my first visit ever to Cantina Frasca, located on a small side street along the lake area of Cernobbio. It was a bit past lunch time, but the owner took us in... More

Wonderful food and a superb host and chef who obviously takes genuine interest and price in his food. Will happily chat about what's on offer that night and make excellent recommendations. Highly recommended.

We looked for a small place to eat lunch that may be frequented by locals rather than other tourists. And did we ever find it down a small side alley. A total of six tables seating a max of 22 diners, we were the only tourists for a late lunch, with a young local couple and four elderly gentlemen being... More

This owner knows his food! He explained all about the food and the region each plate came from. He took his time with each customer. Try the amatriciana, its to die for! Definitely go here!

This restaurant was near our hotel. The reviews were mostly excellent but some were poor. We took a chance and are very happy we did. The owner was fluent in 4 languages and his descriptions of the daily specials were a treat in themselves. We settled on the caprese salad, cheesy polenta with tipica locale ragú and ravioli in pesto.... More

Great little spot where the owner/chef clearly loves what he's doing and it shows in the fantastic food that he prepares in a tiny kitchen right off the front door. We had three different dishes over two visits (I had to go with the eggplant in marinara sauce again as it was soooo good) and they were all spectacular. The... More

WOW, JUST WOW. I have eaten many Itialian meals the world over and this was simply amazing. Best Caprese salad ever and the diners next to us had field green salad that looked similarly amazing. The pasta is homemade and amazing. The owner/chef/server in this 10 table restaurant watches over the entire operation and obviously takes pride in his simple... More
