I went twice - the main room is atmospheric and nicely lit and I really enjoyed the experience that first night. The second room is a bit cavernous and there was a group there the second night i went. Food was great both nights though, and the service was very nice.

We came here to order the fixed menu (traditional Ferrarese courses)--we like to immerse ourselves in the local cuisine--we were not disappointed. We started with the typical salami of region with pillows of pinzin (bread). Tell me to stop eating. Next was the special sausage on a bed of mashed potatoes--you can't imagine it--but it was quite good. Then, the... More

I usually check the guides and internet and try to avoid the standart tourist menu. But this time we chose this place to avoid the heavy rain, took the waitress' advice and went with the tourist menu. We did not regret. The menu was including everything we wanted to try and they were all very delicious. Although Salame da Sugo... More

Local cuisine and wine. Bib Gourmand in the Michelin rating system: as usual a very reliable guidance. No negative points.

Very noisy. We were having group menu. Pasta definitely outshines the meat. Dessert of pineapple and grapes was boring. Would try again when I get to choose.

Hidden up a side street but worth the find. Excellent tuna tartare followed by baked sea bass. The desserts were disappointing though. The tasting menu of the local specialities appeared to be popular Comfortable modern dining room. Efficient service. Good Italian regional wine list.

My children are still talking about the culatello and pinzin. Other traditional dishes such as cappelletti and cappellacci di zucca are done just right here. They also do a nice job with their fish dishes. Fresh, modern dining room with friendly and accommodating service. A nice balance between a modern feel and simple, traditional food.

We had dinner here on a recent visit to Ferrara. The restaurant was recommended by our hotel, and was a short walk away. We're so glad we came here. Our dinner was really great and the service was perfect. Great atmosphere too. We'd love to return!

Great restaurant, hidden in a small street. Nice and friendly staff. In busy times it's best to make a reservation. Modern and clean. Extensive and varied choice in the menu. Very tasteful. Not expensive (€ 80 for 2 persons including wine, prosecco, coffee and primo and secondo piatto). We surely return.

Ristorante Ca' d'Frara is a bit tucked away in a side street, but behind the entrance door hides an elegant restaurant serving excellent dishes. Because we were pleasantly surprised during our first visit, my wife and I went twice to this restaurant for dinner during our three-night stay in Ferrara. Excellent pasta dishes, great seafood and meat plates, tasteful wines... More
