Very good food, amazing starter and gnocchi. We paid 20€ per person for a starter and two main courses ( one Pane cunzatu and one gnocchi ) and a glass of wine. The service was a little slow and not so precise, but was right...for this kind of place ( an informal restaurant:aperitif ), so it didn’t bother us.More

It started as a pre-dinner beer at the 'Eden Bar' by the Corso Vittorio Emanuele, then I found out that one can have meals here from the 'Ciuri Ciuri' next door, since the owners are the same. There was a friendly waiter, so after reading...the menu card I decided to try the 'Pasta con le Sarde'. It was probably well prepared, but it is not my favourite dish, mainly due to the 'mollica' (the soft inside of bread), that comes mixed with the anchovies. Next time I went to have lunch at the 'Ciuri Ciuri' proper and thought of trying a local speciality 'Pane Cunzatu' (as almost all specialities in Southern Italy also bread based), which the locals hate to be compared to a 'Bruschetta', although it might come to one's mind. The variety 'Cunzatu Eoliana', which I ordered, comes with canned tuna. On a third time I tried one of their salads, which are all named after one of the Eolian islands. Since I had been hiking there I tried the 'Insalata Alicudi', which includes 'Carciofi' (artichokes) besides green salad, tomatoes, basil leaves and mozzarella. After that I went on unconventionally with one of their Antipasti as a main course and it happened to be the probably best dish I had during all my time here. It was a superb mixture of 'Insalata di Polpo e Patate', 'Alici a Beccafico', 'Parmigiano di Melanzane', 'Caponata di Melanzane con Crostini', 'Polpettine di Melanzane'. The friendly owner Cristian is also the main waiter. He told me that his family used to own the next door 'Eden Bar' since over 50 years and that the 'Ciuri Ciuri' only opened 4 years ago. Curious about the name I found out that 'Ciuri Ciuri' means 'Fiori fiori' (flowers flowers) in Sicilian dialect, but that it is also the name of a very famous popular song from 1883.More

A decent enough place. The portions are reasonable and so are (most of) the prices. Charging €5 for a canolo is a bit rich though! Staff was friendly and efficient. The outdoor terrace (right on the main street) is pleasent. There are a lot of...tourist traps in lipari, but for now, this isn't one of them.More

The staff was lazy and focused on the people walking down the Main Street more than their clients. The sauces were re-heated and the waiters took the wrong order. Portion size was wimpy and the food was overpriced for its quality. The atmosphere was depressing...unlike many other restaurants on the island of Lipari. I would recommend to not visit and dine at this 2 star restaurant.More

We stopped here having seen it busy with apperitivo customers the night before, and perhaps it is great for just that. But having been persuaded by the manager(?) that his mama made all the food fresh, we felt this should be a great dinner place....However, the lasagne was barely reheated warm, and I was likely to find more meat in a vegetarian restaurant. The pane cunzato and aubergine parmesan were both ok, but couldn't make up for the fact that this bar was masquerading as a restaurant. If mama really does make the food, it might be time to retire her.More

We bumped into this place by chance, following a 3hr tour of the fantastic Lipari Archaelogical Museum. We opted for a light snack of swordfish rolls and Eolian salads. Service is Ok-standard.

Young Staff waits for you with a warm welcome. Even being on the main Road, the typical sicilian decorated place gives a cosy feeling for a drink before dinner and later for dinner which was delicious , local food and nice wine! We will definatly...be back !More

We had beautiful dishes of stuffed eggplant, caponata, stuffed squid and octopus which were all of top standard. The restaurant itself has a very warm atmosphere and we felt at home i highly recommend for quality food at a very reasonable price.

We had a granita and mojito here and were served a nice plate of appetisers. The staff was very friendly, they have a cute dog entertaining guests on the terrace. The only thing I would advise to improve is the toilet - the door lock...is not functioning. The rest was great! It's a pleasure sitting on their terrace in siesta hours.More
