We finally had the opportunity to return to this restaurant after 15 years ! Loved everything about it. Our lunch was fantastic from appetizers to primi to main course. For appetizers my husband enjoyed his tartar of shrimp and I loved my ravioli in pesto...of capone and tomato in crema di zucca. The fresh grilled fish of the day was delicate and perfect. Staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive but not obtrusive . We even enjoyed the subtle background music. Great surroundings. Well maintained restaurant.More

This visit was part of an arranged tour from our cruise ship. A very informative demonstration on the art of pizzas. Interesting differences between other regions explained. The finished product was excellent. Very hospitable hosts. Highly recommend!

Extensive menu featuring a wide range of pizzas and pastas, with a wood-fired pizza oven on site. We went for the assorted antipasti fish platter (€15), ravioli, and seafood risotto (both of which were priced at €15 on the menu, but somehow came up to...€15 and €18 on the receipt). Prosecco was also listed as €3, but we were charged €5 for it. Antipasti was slightly disappointing - the octopus was drowned in a mouth-puckeringly tart lemon dressing, but the rest of the platter were generally acceptable. Ravioli and risotto were both competently done and very flavourful. Service was excellent - hostess was very welcoming and recommended some delicious wine, and the owner evem drove us to our B&B after dinner. Decent meal albeit slightly pricey, but I doubt it's worth the trek from the town centreMore

A local of Lipari told us that Le Macine is the best restaurant on the island, and it didn't disappoint! We arrived during a rainstorm for a late lunch and despite being the only people there, they kept their doors open for us. The decor...was a cool ecclectic blend of various farm equipment and art, and we enjoyed taking a look around. The people working were great and kind. Our server was personable and taught us a little about the ingredients in the food and the different types of flours used for different dishes. I ordered the vegetarian pasta and it was delicious, I honestly don't know what was in the sauce, as it was different than any other sauce I have had, but it was rich and flavorful and incredible! My husband ordered the shrimp risotto and really enjoyed it. We had delicious cake for dessert and they gave us traditional Malvasia and sesame biscuits to close the meal (both were great). We highly recommend this for an authentic experience.More

It's a restaurant on Lipari in the area of Pianoconte. They have fish dishes, pizzas and local cuisine. The pasta I had was good, it was al dente and had a great flavor. The staff was very nice and accommodating. All in all worth a...visit if you are nearbyMore

I ate here three times, twice alone and once with a companion. The first night, I had coniglio agradolce, s very nice preparation of rabbit, just right for a cold and windy night. Also a good local white wine. I asked if they could make...a cheese platter for dessert and they did. Most were quite good, some renowned and one extremely salty from Vulcano. The next night was just as cold and windy, but I wasn't alone.. We both had polpitte on a bed of mashed potatoes (it doesn't sound great but it actualy was). She had a glass of red house wine and I stuck to the white Birro. We had the restaurant to ourselves until about 10 PM when a group of locals came in to celebrate a birthday. The last time, my companion had already left and I was on my own again and had a risotto frutti de mare. Again quite OK. They also offer an amuse gueule and the local sesame cookies after. In all cases, the owner was friendly enough to take both me and my companion to our lodgings.More
