Stopped by for an early evening drink while walking through the town. The beer was fine, service ok and the place has more character than comfort!

We came and got great service and a smile to go with it. For what Sax is trying to accomplish, it more than meets expectations. The lady that waited on us was more than polite and we wished we could have stayed longer.

We'd arrived in Montepulciano starving hungry and chose Sax Wine Bar for a very late lunch. We ordered a pizza with mushrooms and a couple of glasses of wine (well, it was a wine bar). We sat in the basement room at the back, which...More

Just a little place with a huge menu. I can't talk about the other things on the menu, but the calzone we had was fantastic -- huge, with good quality proscuitto, veggies, and cheese. We were starving and this was the only place open --...More
