Food below average, and unfriendly service. We saw roaches inside, denial from the owner/waiter. Find yourself better alternatives in Montepulciano, there are plenty.

Not good food, expensive to the quality and very unpolite and arogant service!!! There is so many other wonderful places in Montepulciano.

Friendly service, but terrible food. Not "bad" food, but simple and not very tasty. Waste of money. Panini cheese is thick slices of bread (it tasted old) with sweaty cheese put on it. No garnish, no nothing. We paid € 5 for that. It was really hard to eat and therefore i left about three quarters of it. It's a... More

My wife and I eat bruschetta and good homemade vegetable soup, €10 including a glass of wine. Very good value, friendly owners and will certainly return.

My husband and I stumbled upon this wonderful place on a cold rainy day while exploring Montepulciano. It turned out to be one of our favorite lunch meals of the 9 day trip to Italy! The atmosphere is adorable, the panini and lunch menu is extensive and everything was delicious! The couple that owns it are so friendly and were... More

We were winding down site seeing and wanted to relax and enjoy the town before dinner. We found La Grotta tucked away on your way up/down hill close the the front area for parking. The couple that owns this restaurant are amazing! They talked with my friends and I the whole time. We even went back the next day and... More

Service, ambience and wonderful food with an extensive, first class, wine list. La Grotta is easy to find as well.

We had a great lunch here with the family. My son, who can be quite picky, inhaled the tagliatelle with porcini. The zucchini and aubergine crostini with lots of melted pecorino de Pienza was superb as was the bruschetta with peppers. Delicious food and welcoming staff.

Delicious food with great wine, especially Italian visitors. Prices fall in the higher price range, but it's the money entirely true
