Restaurant in the center of Orbetello truly recommended for both service and food! We went without a reservation at 9 and found a seat, the service was fast and efficient and the waiters were available for any changes and suggestions even outside the menu! Having arrived in a period of the year which is considered out of season, wandering around looking for a place to eat we asked for advice in a bar and they directed us to Rugantino and therefore, given the proximity to Rome we decided to try Roman cuisine. We ordered two appetizers: one fried and one cured meats. First time in our life that we tasted the couples and I must say that they were excellent. The fried food, not at all greasy, was crunchy and tasty. Next we ordered a cacio e pepe and a gripepe (cacio e pepe and gricia together). Abundant and really delicious dishes. There were some diners from Rome near us and they confirmed that the cacio e pepe was made to perfection as we thought.
The price was really affordable and considering how much and how we ate, it is definitely excellent value for money.

Meet a special person in a charming place could have been enough, but this restaurant made everything even more magical. The staff with smiles on their faces, friendly, professional... the food was delicious, authentic Roman cuisine (I'm Roman) with amazing local cured meats.
Definitely a place worth visiting every time you're in Orbetello.

In early October visiting Orbetello center, intrigued by the Roman-themed place, we went to dinner.
We ate a mix of mixed fried and la Giudia (fried artichoke) as appetizers, first we had tasty spaghetti carbonara with pecorino cheese and finally a great Maritozzo with cream and cookies with vin santo.
