We has lunch at this restaurant. The lunch was simple but delicious. My husband had wild boar raghu and I had the cold roast pork with a salad. We had bruschetta to start and they were generous with the olive oil which we were grateful for.

Escaped into this cozy restaurant during a rainstorm in late November. All of our food was delicious, especially the grilled pumpkin and the pork cicotto with beans. The staff was knowledgeable about celiac and gluten free eating which created a stress free environment for me to enjoy our late lunch. The food was great and reasonably priced.

Every thing we ate was delicious - pasta with truffles, pasta with wild boar - and the service was great. Casual but thoughtful. Perfect stopping place after a blustery day walking around this sweet town. Plus, after a few days in Roma, the prices felt like a great value.

Good local food. Offers wild boar as a specialty. That's average but interesting pork. The place is adorned with glowing accolades of visitors. It's a small nice place to have a meal. Great? No, but went there a couple times as other choices a limited. Reading some of the testimonies on the wall makes one wonder where these folks have... More

One thing I love about Italian food is that it is so simple yet so delicious. Here I had big slices of pork with a garnish on the best rustic bread. Delicious! Folks are very nice who work there.

We have visited Orvieto a number of times and we really like L'Oste del Re. The food is always good! Some might consider the service a tad bit surely, but that's what makes the place so fun and interesting. Expect good pastas and meat dishes here that are simply prepared and presented. No over-the-top dining, just tasty food!!!

Went in for a quick meal but had a really good meal! This was recommended by friends who live nearby and it was perfect. Didn't expect more than a quick lunch but everything was really excellent. Plating and presentation was simple and straightforward. The ingredients and tastes were great and although as a Canadian visiting I can't throw around the... More

Me and my partner were looking for nice cheap place to have a drink and a snack. We stopped here and sat inside. We then had to wait ages, while being ignored by all staff, until we were finally served by an older lady who seemed to be running the place. We then asked for a sprite, sparkling water and... More

It has that old family-owned tavern like atmosphere; one gets wary of those classy Italian places that then stiff you with inflated prices and service charges. L'Oste del Re is not like that and seems to be the place for locals and not some tourist trap. the waiters are sweet . I had pasta with snails while my husband had... More
