I probably had one of my best meals during my trip to the Amalfi Coast at Da Adolfo (even besides Michelin-starred Dinners and lunches). You have to make a reservation ahead since there are limited sun beds and tables, but you could go the more luxurious beach right next to it and then come to Da Adolfo for lunch. everything... More

Don't bother trying to email or phone - we tried unsuccessfully. Our hotel managed to make a reservation for the day. This was a memorable day and lots of fun, very casual dining affair, food was very good and the setting is fantastic. For us, Da Adolfo lived up to the hype. Great, simple food served in a rustic setting.... More

A lot of fun. Da Adolfo lived up to the hype. Great, simple food served in a rustic setting - glad i stopped by. Don't bother calling the restaurant, just ask the little red boat in Positano.

To get to this restaurant, you must look for their small boat with the red fish sign which collects you at the pier area in Positano. Reservations are required and we found out why. upon arrival at the private rocky beach area in front of the restauarant, you can relax on sunchairs until the chef decides he is ready to... More

An amazing day spent in the most casual atmosphere you will find in Italy. Some tips for others who have given this place poor reviews: Make a reservation. They don't answer the phone and don't allow booking by email, but just persist. In this day and age of everything being instantaneous, this is a wonderful throwback. If you don't make... More

The restaurant is located at Laurito beach, which was great for us since we lived 500 steps above it. However they pick up customers at Positano and bring them back by motor boat once they made reservation. This is a lunch-only place, it's right on the water. The menu is written in italian on the board, no printed menus. However... More

Saw an article some time ago about Da Adolfo so had to visit when in Positano last month. Was not not disappointed! Booking not easy as they don't often answer the phone but keep trying! Waiters all very casual but that's part of the ambiance - food fabulous! All in all a great day out! Would recommend!

My husband and I spent a day at Da Adolfo in late September. The reservation was made by our hotel, who advised that 'they never answer the telephone', when they were trying to get us a booking. And, it's mandatory to book. We were told we should catch the 11am shuttle boat to the beach and our lunch would be... More
