If you are lucky enough to find yourself in San Sepolcro then double your luck by finding this restaurant. Everything about it is top notch, the warm welcome at the door, the elegantly set tables, the delighful buzz in the room, the choices on the menu, the unhurried atmosphere. We had planned dinner out for a birthday, and this restaurant was suggested by the friends with whom we were dining. it had also been recommended to us previously by another friend who lives in Sansepolcro. A short and fairly direct drive from our base in nearby Anghiari. Friendly and efficient service and excellent food!

I have eaten in this restaurant twice in recent weeks and both occasions have been truly fantastic. As a vegetarian I found there was plenty of options and my meat loving friends were more than happy. For dishes involving truffle the waitress comes to the table with scales and weighs and grates the truffle directly onto the food. The staff... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local resident and it did not disappoint. We were lucky to get the last available table inside and the total experience was wonderful. The atmosphere was upscale but unpretentious. The owner was very attentive as well as the staff. The food was outstanding.

From the charming welcome to the delightful surroundings and quality of the food, we enjoyed everything about this little restaurant. You really felt as if you were a guest in someone's home. Al Coccio is obviously popular with locals as well, which suggests they are consistently succeeding to please diners.

Based on TA we selected this restaurant for lunch during our day trip to Sansepolcro. We did make a reservation by phone a day earlier as we do not like to be disappointed but that would not have been necessary as it was not fully booked (we were there on a working day). The owner welcomed us warmly and we... More

My wife, mother in law and I stopped here for lunch on our day trip to Sansepolcro. What a superb experience after a fantastic day exploring the town. We were lucky to get a table outside on what was a beautiful summers day. We received a complementary appetiser as well as an excellent range of breads (not the usual bulk... More

Very small inside. Food is very good. Pricey for the area compared to same types and quality of food. Good place for a couple.

Since 1983 the “Al Coccio” restaurant was located in Sansepolcro and from 1988 in Via Aggiunti in the ex sacristy of the Camaldolesi where Luca della Robbia established its name. In 1998 Sara Emanuela Battistelli came along and with plenty of passion, study and commitment she carried on his work involving everyone in the creation of a genuine cuisine using fresh, seasonal produce (no use of stocks or artificial flavour enhancers).
