We have been enjoying two evenings of gastronomic entertainment. Both the 5 as 7 course menus were planned and executed very well. No surprises and largely traditional combinations that were well cooked. Very friendly service and nice ambiance. The capacity of the hotel and restaurant...is quite large. Due to the set-up in different rooms you hardly notice. Extensive wine-list that is extremely high priced. And 8 euro for a bottle of water......More

The only thing gastronomic about this place is the nice wording on the menu. The "emulsion" accompanying the egg starter felt more like a cream soup. I ordered my beef medium-rare but received it well-done. The whole place felt a bit like a factory: we...arrived at exactly 7pm and were the very first table to order. By 7:15pm about 15 other groups had arrived. By 7:45pm we were still waiting for our starters. The waiters were quite nice, but the superintendent looked like he'd been forced to work that evening. We felt we paid too much for what we got (especially when compared to some other restaurants we tried in the region). We will not return.More

We visited restaurant with students from hotel school in Ostrava. We visited the wine cellar, which for us was prepared snacks and aperitif. Then we had lunch in the restaurant. For all it was a great experience.

This is definitely a restaurant to go to if you're in the neighborhood... and even if you aren't. Everything I tasted was succulent! This restaurant's on the Michelin and it deserves it. The service impeccable.

Came for a drive on the scenic wiggly roads in the Ardennes and only stopped here by chance. So glad we did. On Easter Monday we weren't sure whether we'd find many places open for lunch, so at the start of the scenic roads, when...we drove into Rochehaut and found great scenery and several restaurants open we pulled over. We were originally heading for Vresse-sur-Semois for lunch, but this place is far more picturesque, and we're so glad we stopped here, rather than 20mins down the road. Fortunately the restaurant had a no-show, so although we had no reservation, we got their last table. Many people turned up after us, and were turned away as they'd not made reservations. Out on the terrace a piglet was being roasted, and after a mise-en-bouche they took our order. We mistakenly went for their speciality 'jambonneau', which it turns out is ham hock, not the roast piglet. The ham hock was delicious. I only managed half of it, and they happily wrapped the rest up for us to take home. One of our main reasons to drive through Rochehaut was to find a wiggly scenic road for bikers. This is definitely one of those, and my husband will be back with his motorbike. The most scenic bit was the start of this road, and the closer to Montherme (France) we got, the less picturesque it became. Definitely a road for bikers.More

World class breakfast with hams and cheeses straight from the farm. Eggs cooked to order, great service, breads, etc...

We arrived without a reservation and with a wet dog but were welcomed and offered a good table. I had coq au vin which was delicious and large. My husband had their famous ham hock. We had a choice of three types of potato and...my husband a choice of sauces for the ham. The meal was absolutely delicious. We didn't have starters or desert but all around us the food looked delicious. There was a set meal on offer 29 euros for five courses that the couple next to us tucked into. The owner ( who by the way owns most of the village ) greeted us and spoke to many of the diners. If you visit the Ardenne a trip to Rochehaut village and this restaurant are recommended.More
