incredible food and service in a simplistic atmosphere. Home cuisine that you cannot taste anywhere else. Let them guide you through the menu, and take your time. Do not worry, they are patient. Go Go Go.

Il Richiastro is open only three days a week, and its menu is very limited, but you will be treated to the best soups you have ever tasted. We had the ceci and castagne (chickpeas and chestnuts) and the lentils and mushrooms, both of which were spectacular. The portions were generous, so we did without a pasta course. (You can... More

Loved this restaurant....tucked away in the alleyways of Viterbo it was tricky to find but it was worth the bother. We went early knowing that it would fill up quickly( and it did). Our waiter was exceptionally helpful and described all the dishes in depth.Soups and pasta and meat,a large choice of options, and anarray of desserts, all homemade, were available.Typical food... Il Richiastro is a delicious homey restaurant with wonderful modern art pieces as decor and both comforting and creative menu items. We started off with the restaurant's famous "bruschetta" - slices of warm bread with a series of different sauces. Then we had a sampling of soups with legumes and vegetables, each one more delicious than the next. I especially... More

This was the perfect place for a quiet Sunday Lunch with friends in the centre of Viterbo. I particularly loved the rustic chic décor and the soft lightning, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, perfect to enjoy a good meal. The only disappointing part was the toilet, with plenty of condensation on the floor, mirror and walls. We decided to... More

This restaurant is difficult to find but well worth seeking out. It is slow-food in its best sense. It is family run. We were warmly greeted by father and son. Lovely cracking fire in a large open fire place. Small arched room seats about 20. Very rustic setting. We had two wonderful pasta first courses that were fresh and delicious.... More

The food is as good as the ambient and as nice ad the owners! I totally suggest to come and eat here, where you can satisfy your tongue with an explosion of local ancient tastes!

These folks exemplify the SlowFood ethos. Hint-order wine from the list, the vino della casa doesn't do justice to the food.

Really nice place. Excellent position (but pretty hard to find ). We had a menu arrenged in order to taste different foods and everything was really outstanding. In particular the "Zuppe" and "crostini" were one of the best I ever tasted!
