Always a nice spot to have a quiet pint of good beer. Average food selection but good enough for the type of venue it is. Can have good music nights.

Go there and eat and drink something you will be amazed.. do not focus on the interior of the bar/ restaurant. Because the food is amazing, the staff really friendly. Just imagine yourself 150 years ago.
Fabulous setting, great selection of beers and local wines, , good food, beautiful bar area made of local wood, Thoroughly recommend visiting the oldest pub in New Zealand.
