It is a small and warm restaurant well located in Mulhouse. There is not too much choice in the menu, but, for me this is a good sign, it means that the food is made there with fresh products. The food has a modernity touch. I have been there a few times, I was desapointed just once with desert, I... More

We enjoyed our dinner at Chez Auguste. Menu is simple with a prix fixe menu (E 25) with limited a la carte options. Food quality was excellent and definitely very good value. Service was welcoming and friendly - decent wine selection at reasonable prices.

This is a small restaurant with eight tables, so a reservation, only by phone, is critical. One women in front handling the customers and one chef in the kitchen keep the pace modest. The menu is limited, but there are some very good choices. Everything each of us ordered was great. And the chocolate dessert was a chocoholic's dream. A... More

Firing on all cylinders this a classic bistro with a small menu that is a sure bet. Absolutely delicious dish after dish! Starring a self taught chef, Luc Chervy was a hotelier then he followed his dream and left the front desk for the heat of the kitchen. His dream is worthy! He makes it all look so easy too,... More

apart from the most excellent food, the cost was perfect. They provide the best value for money balance among the cosy gourmet restaurants in Mulhouse

We chose this restaurant for our company's Christmas dinner (8 persons). The restaurant is very small and so we were provided with one of the two upstairs rooms which was fine. We had a set menu of foie gras (goose liver), scallops, onglet de boeuf (hanger steak), and a choice of desserts (I took the L'Auguste chocolate fondant). All the... More

Right up there with any meal I've had anywhere in France, and superb value at 25 euro for the three-course dinner menu. Don't go here if you want a quick meal - savour the intimate atmosphere, relax and enjoy 2 hours + of food heaven.

Well, everything has been said in the title of my review, but here come some mre details about Chez Auguste. The food is just amazing. Chez August proposes a fine dining menu that includes only fresh, seasonal products, blended together to create fabulous fine-dining meals. The concept of how-to-turn-simple-ingredients-into-a-super-duper-dish is just magical. From the starters to the desserts, everything is... More

We turned up at an empty restaurant waiting to be seated for sometime. Interesting menu, and tastefully decorated place. But then again we had to wait for sometime to be attended. The waiting just went on an on. Finally after 3 hours we managed to settle the bill after queuing up at the counter. I simply have the impression that... More
