We went as a family to this table. What a joy to have had this time. The modern but not cold room, the simple, polite and efficient service (as expected in a bistro) and especially the cuisine.
We ate à la carte (foie gras, eels, fish and conchonnet) and everything is perfect, the quality of the products, the cooking, the presentation and finally the price. The cellar is superb for those who want to discover and appreciate wines.

I was planning to visit "Marche au Miel" in Agen and luckily on the map, I could spot the La Table just around the corner.
Booked a table and here we go...from the beginning until the end it was a fantastic experience, superb services, knowledgable in suggesting complementary matching wine to the dishes, clean, alert and very friendly.
Foodwise; it was heaven, starting with foie gras, main with Chapon fermier and finish with coque meringue.
Definitely a place we will revisit soon again to try the Degustation menu or one of the aged slices of beef

Having a serious restaurant attached to a "business"/transient hotel does happen from time to time, especially in France. It is a bonus to both establishments and certainly its patrons. In a country and region with so much superb farm and seafood produce, and high culinary standards, it is an added bonus. This is a substantial restaurant with a hard working chef and crew. DIning here was a mostly enjoyable experience. In some subtle ways, however, I think the wait staff needs to be reminded to be more respectful, discerning and welcoming to their clientele.

Arrived at 7:45 p.m., the entry arrived after 45 minutes. What followed was a wait of more than 1 hour to have a main course, 2 of them burnt (on top of the guinea fowl) and the black pork very dry.
The servers are not very smiling and don't seem to want to be there, not to mention the lack of discretion in their discussions...

Nous regrettons beaucoup que vous n'ayez pas apprécié ce repas.
En ce qui concerne l'attente, nous vous prions de nous excuser si elle vous a semblé interminable mais permettez-nous de préciser que nous avons posé votre dessert sur table à 22 h exactement... donc entrée , plat et dessert en moins de 2 h, jusque là rien que de très normal pour des plats un peu élaborés, cuisinés au moment. Vous avez d'ailleurs réglé votre note à 22h35.
Notre serveur a bien tenté de vous expliquer notre façon de travailler, avec sans doute un sourire un peu crispé compte tenu de vos reproches répétés, mais avec beaucoup de diplomatie ... peine perdue puisque la soirée était sans doute déjà gâchée pour vous. Pour ce qui est des plats cramés, c'est juste que nous passons la viande sur un grill au feu de bois pour la marquer et cela lui donne un goût de "barbecue" que vous n'avez pas aimé.
Le restaurant n'est pas du tout réputé pour son "standing", nous essayons simplement, depuis 30 ans, de faire de la vraie cuisine, avec de vrais produits sourcés localement et nous essayons de réunir toutes les conditions pour que nos clients passent un agréable moment chez nous. Cela reste le cas la plupart du temps heureusement mais nous sommes conscients que c'est un modèle qui ne correspond plus vraiment aux attentes du plus grand nombre, quoiqu'ils en disent.
Nous avons fait un rappel aux serveurs concernant le manque de discrétion que vous avez relevé, afin qu'ils y portent plus d'attention à l'avenir.

Discovered on a business trip, it is an unmissable address juxtaposed to the Mercury Hotel. There's something for everyone, whether it's a very affordable menu or suggestions from the chef that you don't see every day and are extremely well done, like wood pigeon and hare à la royale. What impressed us very positively right from the start were the first two pages of the menu: All the producers who supply the products for the kitchen were listed here. What deep respect for the food and its producers!
We were very impressed by the various courses and their presentation, the rabbit is particularly recommended.
Unfortunately, the service does not match the excellent performance of the kitchen. An impatient waiter when choosing the menu, who sometimes reprimanded me rudely.

A flawless one again for this evening! A refined and at the same time warm table as we like them in our region. A cuisine with local flavors that is balanced and rich in taste.
We enjoy each visit. Michel Dussau is above all a true lover of the profession behind his open stoves (he hides nothing!) a welcoming, caring and sincere team.

An idyllic place, calm, soft lights, top and pleasant staff, the panorama of the extraordinary cuisine and the top of the top, excellent dishes. Me who cannot eat a whole meal, they ensured that I could have a plate (not planned and offered) at the same time as my companion.

Great surprise! Stepping into the Mercure Pension next door we followed the recommendation of the person at the reception and we had dinner here. Excellent welcome, charming and fast service all the dishes chosen were excellent. We also enjoyed the local wine that was recommended to us. The Quality / Award ratio is unbeatable!!!

We were there for lunch and were not disappointed. This was during the week and the restaurant was very busy, a good sign. The cuisine is French with local.ingredients and influences
