we loved it from the moment we came in. The decoration is retro but exquisite. The staff is very nice and recommended some cocktails to start. We saw this restaurant on one of Anthony Bourdain's shows and were not disappointed. The food was great especially the dessert tray. The staff was super nice. The only disappointment is that we wanted... More

We loved it, thank you for a fully excalidocious lunch outside under the pine trees on a sunny day in Cancale, splendid views on St Michaels mount.

Following Tripadvisor reviews we decided to try out Le Coquillage restaurant about 8 kilometres outside Cancale. Our sat nav seemed to have trouble locating the exact location, however the hunt proved to be well worthwhile. In Le Coquillage the four of us (two brits and two americans), eat the best meal of our entire stay. The service was exceptionally welcoming... More

We hadn't come back to m. Roellinger's restaurant since he decided to drop his 3 stars, and were eager to see what his restaurant has become... We're fully reassured! From the appetizers to the final grog, everything (and I must say that there are *many* things) was at least excellent, at most completely amazing! We'll sure come back as soon... More

My wife had planned a special birthday weekend with dinner at this restaurant as the finale. It was one of our more memorable meals and everything from the food, service and ambience was just perfect. Each course on the elaborate tasting menu was presented beautifully. Each course was tastier than the preceding one , even though we did not think... More

We had the menu Un grignotage des bords de mer. An excellent choice that I can only recommend. The entree was an abundant tray full of different, most delicate fish and crab combinations. A real treat. After that a tomato essence and then clams prepared like escargots - so wonderful I could have easily had more of it. The main... More

We had two dinners, we took a simple 3-course menu (at 68 EUR) and not the long gourmet menu. And we could hove not been happier: fantastic food, no "fancy/ creative/over the top" presentation, just great-tasting food. And the chariot à desserts is a highlight: again, nothing fancy, but those millefeuilles and profiteroles will stay in our memory for quite... More

The food is absolutely excellent - focused on fish with interesting spices, the only problem being that sometimes the spices can overwhelm the delicacy of the fish - but the basic attitude requires the diner to conform with the restaurant rather than the other way round. We were not happy with the table we were offered and the attitude of... More

We went with friends on a nice day. The service from arrival to departure was faultless. A champagne aperitif sitting outside in the sun overlooking the sea while we considered our meal orders, was the perfect start. I chose the two course 68 Euros menu and enjoyed a finely prepared dish of lamb cooked 3 ways accompanied by very tasty... More

We got off to a bad start with trying to find this place- our up to date GPS led us to another location 10km away where a sign said that the venue we had arrived at was not le Coquillage. Thanks to a helpful receptionist we eventually located the restaurant and Chateau Richeux. The place was underwhelming- a very busy... More
