6 adults and a child were looking forward to lunch on the lovely terrace. The restaurant is in the Hotel Vidal in the centre of Céret, our home town. We all chose the lunch set menu, chicken salad and a dessert at 15€. The good: the desserts, crème catalane, apple tart were ok. The salad dressing was good. However, the... More

We all ate the €30 menu at Sunday lunchtime and enjoyed the laid back atmosphere under the vine leaves of the first floor terrace. There was a choice to satisfy most tastes and the food was well cooked and presented. I particularly enjoyed the fresh vegetable selection served as a starter, and good duck as a main course. The service... More

If you want an element of certainty, that your food will be good, try here. What you loose in atmosphere ( of sitting in a dark room) is more than compensated for with well prepared well presented and tasty food. At about 60€ for two with the wine, this is the best middle priced place we found in Ceret. Worth... More

By climbing the stairs to this small but cosy restaurant you can treat yourself to a dinner you'll remember. I.E. fresh fish of the day, or a steak, accompanied by pommes duchesses or french fries and ratatouilles or a beautiful salad. Home made pannacotta and cheese of the region. The Collioure wine goes perfectly with it.

Everything is so perfect here. The food is superb and sitting on the delightful vine covered terrace is the icing on the cake. The service is excellent. This is a family run restaurant and contrary to a previous reviewer, has not changed hands in the fourteen tears we have been coming here. It is excellent value for money with out... More

Our family has been coming to Restaurant del Bisbe for years and years. The owners are a lovely Catalan family with deep roots in the local art and cultural scene. The setting is beautiful especially the grape vine covered terrace. The "set" lunch was delicious over the feria del toros weekend. Perfect Catalan charcuterie salad followed by tender porc filet.... This is the type of restaurant that I imagine inspired Elisabeth David so many years ago to write about French cooking. My starter of sliced seasonal cooked vegetables, artistically served with a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a few chick peas and an exquisite dressing was divine. The pork chop a la catalane was tender with delicious tomato based vegetable accompaniment,... More

This restaurant offered average food at not so average prices. Given the reputation of the French for food and the amount of disposable income in the Ceret area, this was a little disappointing. The food was ok but lacked imagination and interest - it just played safe but probably was representative of many restaurants in the area. This restaurant will... More
