First of all the service was superb. Really friendly wait staff, who even helped us with our French pronunciation. The food is fine dining and each course was magnificent. I think that this restaurant is the most memorable thing about Bouogne-sur-mer.

L'Ilot Vert is within the Citadel of Boulogne which is already a big plus.Stepping into the restaurant you discover a chic bistro look, not at all pretentious but inviting. The welcome and subsequent service is professional and friendly. An amuse bouche is served while the menu...More

Over night stay in Boulogne for birthday and the treat was a wonderful meal at this great restaurant. Cost of this lovely meal around €100 and worth every cent. Set in the scenic heart of the city our evening started with one of several amuse...More

We go to L'Ilot Vert (always booking in advance - necessary!) as often as we can, and always enjoy the experience. Delicious food, beautifully presented, even on the limited-choice set-price lunchtime menu. Service is helpful and friendly and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. In our...More

Glad we booked a table and didn't just turn up as it was full and understandably so. Not cheap but worth the money. Excellent food and service and easily able to adapt menu to gluten free for me as I'm coeliac.

Chose the restaurant based on advice on here. Well deserved as number 1 restaurant. Excellent choice of food cooked to perfection. This will be my come to restaurant in Boulogne. Only criticism is they forgot our carafe d'eau. But the beer/wine was so good it...More

We have eaten in many of the restaurants in the Old Town but this is stands out head and shoulders above the rest. The food is superb, the wine was great and along with attentive service, what more can you ask for? The restaurant has...More

The Captain's starter was force-fed Goose, which wasn't an ideal choice but there was little to choose between on the limited menu. A main course of braised beef made up for the starter, but dessert again disappointed with the creme brulee a strange, deconstructed affair...More

We went to Boulogne for a day trip and had a lovely time. The old part of the town was really interesting but the icing on the cake for us was discovering this wonderful restaurant. As the train was delayed , I , in fact,...More

I think that there was a small step up to the room we went into - but I also think that the restaurant has more than one entrance I would phone and speak to them to be sure.
My wife, myself and son are looking to move to Boulogne in the next 6-12 months and I am an Executive Chef from Melbourne Australia with 25 years industry experience with Iron Chef Jacket, Master of Game and Master Barista, would you have room for one more Chef in your glorious kitchen? :) Will definitely come to eat there as we just missed you by one door and ended up at Le Scala the most worse shop we have ever been in in our lives. Do you make crepes?
