A three course menu for madame, a four course for Sir, an aperitif each, 1/2 of mineral water, a bottle of Gaillac Red and two coffees - all for £65 a head. Good skills evident in the kitchen, a nice room and first-rate service. All in all, an evening to savour.

Slightly disappointed here. We dined as a group of 12, after a day walking across the WW1 battlefields. The manager seemed to pressurise us to sample "special drinks" and "special meals" which we resisted. We eventually ordered our meals after much debate about what was available or not. The meals were very well presented, the quality was good, but portions small.... More

I chose 3 of the best-sounding restaurants for 3 dinners over my stay. This was the best meal I had. The raviolo with white truffle in cepe veloute was blissful, and the turbot with slices of chorizo utterly yummy.

We were on the way to Paris and have to stop for one night in Amiens , as we advices by our best friend (TripAdvisor) we choose this restaurant, the food was good , price not so expensive and the setup was good since we were 12 people on the same table

Good food, nice wines and service ok but not great. They serve food from the Lyon area known for it's gastronomical refinement. The more experienced waiter was a bit offstandish and the younger one a bit clumsy. They seem to have small altercation during service. All in all a good experience.

The steep cliff of TA reviews on this restaurant is cause for some concern. Clearly, the restaurant has some public relations work to do. The Michelin and other professional critic reviews support confirm that there is a capable chef here-and we agree. My first impressions were enhanced by the sophisticated jazz music in the background and our cordial and helpful... More

Even choosing the low-end suggestions in order not to spend too much (the "coup the coeur" formula), you'll be presented with incredibly nice specialties of France and Picardie, tripes, potatoes, meat, a chees and milk cream... not to mention the Parfait au chocolat. Totally excellent, I wish I had had another night in Amiens. to go back there.

We arrive at 2pm. Maitre d'hôtel looks stressed and is not very helpfull. Maybe we are the last guests to be served? Only the main course and the dessert is possible if we order quickly! We don't feel comfortable with this pressure. We hoped to get the lunchmenu for an affordable price but it was too late. The recommanded glasses... More

We spend a week in Normandië and, getting back home to Belgium, made a quick stop in Amiens. Our lunch in " le bouchon "was the best we had during Our trip. Especially the langoustines with risotto were delicious and can be highly recommended. The service was friendly and efficiënt. If there were any problems in the past,we did Not notice... More

I always wonder how any establishment can get such mixed reviews. It suggests something is wrong somewhere. Anyway le bouchon prodcues some very competent cooking and the quality of the meal was very good. However on the night I visited the service was very slow. The restuarant was being attended by two waiting staff, not enough for the 40-50 covers.... More
