We were a group of 6 including 3 older children, and unfortunately we had a few too many questions for the server who grew impatient with our efforts in French language (we are functionally bilingual and didn't have any difficulties anywhere else) so he went and got another guy whose English was better. He started off curt and informed us... More

reasonable pizza, a bit too thick and tomato far too sweet, but good jambon de parme, nice chillie flavoured oil and good house wine.

Our second visit to Cassis (A place we really like) We don't like the usual tourist restaurants so went in search of one more in tune with locals. Although fairly small and down a little side street its not far from the harbour area. Whilst we felt the waiter lacked warmth this may have been more to do with workload... More

The restaurant has a nice location in a side street with plenty of tables outside. We ate from the 23 euro menu and were treated to a fantastic meal of the highest quality. Service was attentive and polite at all times. Altogether a great evening, highly recommend.

Friendly service, charming ambiance (tucked away on narrow pedestrian street) and quite possibly the best gnocchi I've ever had!

Went for lunch 2 days ago and had the menu du jour. fillet of cod in a fantastic cream and herb sauce. I could have eaten a plate of that alone with a baguette to mop it up. The cod was perfectly cooked - cooked all through but not overdone. Lovely creme brûlée to follow. Add service both friendly and... More

This was a chance find while looking for a Sunday lunch venue away from the frenzy of the harbour side. Frangines is attractive in a quiet pedestrianised street. On arrival our waiter immediately offered to move table and chairs to ensure we could sit in the shade. We started with aperitifs of a Kir Royale and a Kir Vin Blanc.... More

We ate there today and had the menu du jour - cabillaud followed by creme brûlée. Both were delicious. Service was prompt and friendly.

This is our second time there, it isn't of course in the water front, so has a bit of a disadvantage. We went a year ago, and looked for the place again. The menu did not change much, but we had the scallops, trio of goats cheese, gambas and a delicious chocolate fondant. The service was a bit longer than... More

Having been recommended this place by locals we thought we were in for a decent night at least. Wrong! Bland cold soup, 45 mins between courses, a steak that was totally inedible all with a touch of slap in the face service that might even have been charming if the food had been any good. Kids asleep adults fed up.... More
