Cassis is one of the jewels of Southern France, either by boat or car it is just a joy to linger over a slow lunch watching as the port goes about it's business. The food was good, the menu we had was the offering of the day.

Best moules ever, great salads. Quick if somewhat curt service. Good place for lunch right on the port

Well cassis in September was always going to be busy but this place is crazy, chairs all packed in close together etc, However the food was excellent and the very attentive waitress was first class who made our young daughter very happy The whole experience was very pleasant but if you are to come be prepared for crowds in high... Not sure what To think about la Voute, i read some very bad comment but in fairness, we had a quite good experience there. Of course, this is the typical harbor front, tourist restaurant and in that way, man cannot set high expectation. of course the service could be more friendly but after a first neutral contact then it became... We sat down to be greeted by the most rude and surly staff I have ever had the misfortune to be served by - and I travel to France fairly regularly. As is customary the children's food arrived very quickly but they had finished eating before the adults food arrived - which is odd as both children and adults ordered... More

We all had the set menu. Adults had the grilled fish of the day and the kids played it safe with lasagne. All the food was good, my wife had the mussels as a starter and they were fresh and well prepared. Overall a very good experience.

Saturday lunch time very busy alongside the harbour and therefore the ambience was very good. Both chose salads - La Chèvre and Nicoise had rather unusual ingredients, mushrooms with the goat's cheese and no anchovies on Nicoise! Had to ask for carafe of water after long wait. Price of wines rather expensive although vin en pichet also available. Distinctly average... More

decided for the location since other places were more filled up and as expected in a tourist location the food was okay, we had lobster and a menu with mussels, but not on of the best we ever had. Of course there is never enough staff once everybody wants to eat - even though it was early - but still... More

Had lunch here and chose La Voute more by accident than design - the harbourside at Cassis is full of restaurants and they all look much alike. The setting is superb and you couldn't be closer to the harbour's edge. Great for watching everything that goes on in a seaside town. We chose Gambas Provencale and Moules and both were... More

Lots of restaurants to chose from here on the lovely waterside. It wasn't disappointing; just okay. Three of us had moules et frittes and we all agreed we'd had better moules. The service was great and the setting was perfect.
