Waited long to get a waiter for ordering anything. Complained about that and the boss was more then bad behaving. Just told us that it´s normal to wait 15 minutes for ordering drinks (not even food) and just spoke like he was not thinking about his guests at all. Seems like this place is just good if there are not... More

This restaurant offers a wide variety of choices and has very good quality (and quantity) food. My recommendation would be to start with a "Feldsalat", a salat with crispy bacon or "Spargel", Asparagus; followed by the "Metzgers Sundoch", a fine piece of steak, delicious! If you prefer fish, try the "Seemann's Heuer", a trio of fish. To finish, follow the... More

I would have given this restaurant 5 stars. The food is truly delicious and beautifully presented. It's definitely worth the drive. It's German food but with style. We arrived at 1.30 on a Saturday after a walk in the nearby forest. We had eaten our superb main courses by 2.30 and asked to see the dessert menu. But we were... More

You are looking for great Franconian food this is a very good place. We went to this place to have a birthday meal with my kids and grandparents. The menu is really good though it had nothing special mentioned for kids. Sure we could arrange with them to have just noodles for our 3 year old. But I would have... More

This little restaurant in the middle of nowhere has a great chef. In the menu you can find mostly meat based dishes (venison) which are prepared very thender, with full taste and texture. Portions are medium to large (for a regular person soup, main course + salad and desert might be a stretch). Ambiance is nice with very good looking... More

If you want to eat franconian specialties I recommend to take the 20min trip fom Nuernberg or Erlangen to Kalchreuth. And after an excellent meal enjoy a walk below the cherry trees of Kalchreuth and have marvelous view to "Fraenkische Schweiz". (Best time of the year May-August). You'll mainly meet local guests there, on Saturday and Sunday it might be... More

We visited this place with some friends. The food and the service was excellent. If you want to eat authentic frankish dishes, this place is a must.

Honest Frankish food for family prices with authenic attmosphere. You will meet few tourists although it is only 15 minuets from Erlangen and a half hour from Nueremberg. You cant go wrong.
