We had a great mixed dip, mixed grill, and a egg plant. The coffee is a must have. Good value for money. Definately worth coming back for the other dish.

For a welcome change of pace, Carole and I tried Marmara out recently and were delighted with the result - excellent quality, fresh food and its presentation were very pleasing indeed. A very good and authentic spot for Turkish cuisine. We did enjoy the meal, the ambience and the very helpful and friendly staff. We tried a variety of entrees,... More

Marmara is a lovely little restaurant in Chapel St. It has a nice ambience and great food at a reasonable price. This place is one of our regulars as it's generally easy to get a table and really good value.

It is a nice place to sit in a quiet corner and enjoy your food. Which we liked! It was exactly what we expected. And service was fast and efficient

Lovely night out at Marmara. Had the banquet for two. Started with scrumptious dips and fresh bread, then a range of meats and finishing with Turkish delight. Everything was delicious particularly the lamb cutlets and beef. The Iskender (lamb off the spit) was the only disappointment. It needed a sauce not a side salad. The Turkish wine reminded me of... We have been going to the restaurant every now and then for some years. Our recent visit revealed a new and better menu, a very busy kitchen and a real buzz. They still refer to sigara borek as 'spring rolls'! and the pastry for these actually seems to be spring roll like rather than phyllo but the eskender kebab and... More

I've been to Marmara probably 5 times over the past couple of years, and have always been happy with the food and service. It is not fine dining, but the Turkish food is always tasty and enjoyable. Try the banquet if you are in a group.

We ate here recently and could not fault food quality or service. Having visited Marmara a few times I noticed an occasional bad review but some years ago. My experience has always been excellent and we have been to Marmara with some pretty fussy groups.
