In the middle of nowhere is this amazing restaurant. It is run by a family serving excellent gourmet stuff. We had booked a table for 2. The chef himself came out to explain the set menu for the day. Such a personal touch. What also made it more personal and thoughtful was the fact that he made an effort to... More

Restaurant is a little way out of the village of Adelboden but definitely worth a trip. Not cheap (but then where is in Switzerland) but reasonable for the quality of the food. Run by a couple and the dinner is a set menu and everybody in this small restaurant eats basically at the same time. Each dish is lovingly prepared... More

A beautiful scenic outdoor restaurant high up and not easy to reach but well worth a visit. Food and drink are interesting, imaginative, classy and tasty!

After a drive on a small lane, I arrived between lunch and dinner. In order to shelter from the thunderstorm, I dropped in. Beautiful vernacular architecture, sunburnt wooden facade, a nice ambience. The host was hospitable and talkative, interested in the coming and going of his guests. The price level is moderate, I believe. I only had coffee and instantly... More

Sublime views, cozy atmosphere and Excellent and creative food. The owners simply got it. One of my favourites in the European Alps, a must go.

The restaurant is in a remote place with a marvelous view on Adelboden. The drive to Hohliebi is perfectly feasible (when there's snow you better have all-wheel drive or a cab). There is fixed menue which offers consistently great quality and and excellent Swiss wines which the chef recommends spot-on.

This is a little restaurant in an old alpage house in the middle of the alpine countryside near Adelboden. You don't really choose the time for your dinner, as the food is prepared and served to all guests simultaneously. The chef comes to your table to explain (in poetic words) what he has prepared for his guests - two starters, main... A very special experience. Outstanding food for discriminating palates, with the authenticity of the alpine experience, in a small, perfect setting. Remote location not for the faint hearted if you need to drive up on winter roads. But you will enjoy every aspect of the experience. Surrender to the Chef's choices and you will not regret.
