A great place to visit with family or friends. We've breakfasted here, camped here, caught their boat to the castle many times, and also hired canoes to go down river. It's a place we always return to. Highly recommended!

This is a quaint little campsite that comes with a lot of charm and is perfectly situated on the Kent and Sussex border. The surrounding countryside is breathtaking and the accompanying river only adds to the "picture-postcard" feel. We stayed for a weekend towards the end of the season in late October 2016. Because of this we were lucky enough... More

Thank you for taking the trouble to review our little site. I'm so pleased you liked it here; we were worried it would be too cold for you. This is the latest we've ever been open into the Autumn as camping tends to wind up here at the beginning of October, so you guys were impressively hard core! In terms... More

We were staying close by (self catering accomodation ) and decided to use the kayak hire facilities. We booked the kayaks for another day and decided to stay for a drink and sandwich. The sandwich was fantastic, exactly the type to be found in an upmarket independent deli. Fresh , good quality ingredients. My mother and I used the cafe again... More

Peaceful trip on the ferry to Bodiam Castle - or you can hire your own rowing boat or Kayak. The food choice in the café is very good - including cream teas. From the café you can look out over the Rother Valley, and see the steam trains that run between Bodiam and Tenterden.

So pleased to hear you loved everything we have to offer here. Our menu changes often, so there is always new choices to wow your taste buds. If you enjoyed the ferry, our Captains table lunch is definitely worth a try, with a return boat trip and two course lunch you can't go wrong! More

We had hired boats for the day but we had been searching for somewhere to eat with cream tea, When we had arrived the cafe they had on site was really lovely and served cream tea, lunches and breakfasts. I had scrambled egg and salmon on gluten free toast which was amazing. It was a lovely atmosphere.

We have visited the boasting station many times, initially to hire kayaks, later to pay to use the launch for our own kayaks, and now just to drop in and moor own own boat to enjoy an ice cream and the lovely atmosphere. It doesn't get more pleasant than this. Lovely family business, lovely food and incredible ice-cream

We knew of Bodiam Boating Station from a recommendation from a friend, but unfortunately the campsite was fully booked so we had to stay a short distance up the road. We walked to the cafe from our campsite one morning to have a coffee and rent a boat to row up the river and where impressed with the cafe building... More

Stumbled across this place by accident as we were looking for a pub lunch. Very pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the food. We had the marinated half chicken, garnished with roasted tomatoes, dressed spinach leaves and coleslaw. The burger was high quality beef with emmenthal cheese, served with fries and garnished with cornichon and leaves. The chicken was... More

Dismayed to read such a dreadful review. I remember you coming in. We are always happy to change our menu items to suit our diners, but when you ordered a Ham, Cheese, Tomato & Branston Sandwich with Salad but without the ham, tomato, Branston & salad, I was surprised. We have so many lovely things on the menu that I... More
