Enjoyed a lovely family meal on a quiet and wet Sunday evening. The food was excellent as was the service. Highly recommended!

Yet again an outstanding meal with the finest welcome. Firstly well done to The Dairy for their COVID compliant culture - so important that we all made to feel safe. First visit for another family member and they are still this morning waxing lyrical and...planning a return. All I can say is that we have dined here on a few occasions now having taken numerous friends/family and no one has anything but praise for this place. Thanks to you all once again - if you can satisfy my Mother-In-Law you truly are the best - well done.More

Staff were friendly. Felt good selection was limited and overpriced for what it was. Nothing out of the ordinary and bearing in mind there are 2 pubs in the village and so much choice within the local area, that do similar food we thought this...would offer something differentMore

Hi Donna, thanks so much for taking the time to review. After the year the hospitality industry has endured (and is still enduring), kindness and support is so appreciated. Our prices are based on the local produce we source and the fair wage we pay...More

The staff were lovely and the venue pleasant but unfortunately the food was tasteless and extremely over priced. Very disappointing. Unfortunately we will not return.More

Having recently moved to the area, we were delighted to have a night out at The Diary. From the outset you could clearly tell that these guys have been doing this for a long time. The service was great and the food was amazing. The...atmosphere meant for a very pleasant evening, one to remember! Can't wait to go back.More

Good enough for diner with a couple of colleagues. COVID arrangements excellent and felt very safe. Fillet steak was reported as very good. Steak pie could have down with a bit more seasoning. Best course was probably the pudding, excellent ice cream and super sticky...toffee puddingMore

We visited for an anniversary meal on Saturday evening and had a lovely time. Food and service were superb, we had the steak/steak pie/gypsy tart and chocolate desert between us and it was all piping hot and delicious. Best of all was the fabulous setting...and atmosphere given the situation. Pleased to say CV19 rules and protocols were followed and noticed the waiting staff constantly cleaning between attending tables. All in all a lovely restaurant with fantastic food and great staff and well worth the 30 minute drive to visit. We will be back!More

I’ve been meaning to come here for ages.. and well... I don’t know why it took me so long! The staff were EXCELLENT. So welcoming, and conscious of Covid restrictions without being overbearing. They were attentive throughout and, even though we were the last in...the restaurant that evening, they didn’t rush us or make us feel unwelcome. The FOOD. Well. We shared the baked Camembert for starter. Lovely fresh bread and cranberry. 3 of our party had steak for main and said it was some of the best steak they have had, ever. I had the fish and chips. Cod was probably the best I’ve ever had. So perfectly cooked and no skin. Loved the little condiments in the kilner jars! Dessert was also lovely. A really generous cheese board. All the food came out fresh and piping hot, and there wasn’t a long wait at all. Thank you so much!! We will be back 😍More

So wanted this to be great but the food was disappointing for the price. We had bread and dip starter. The bread was not fresh and balsamic was thin and sharp. I had pork belly served in a bowl of tasteless gravy and cabbage. The...pork crackling was delicious but the pork itself dry. My husband had chicken in filo which was average. What a shame as the restaurant is welcoming, staff were great as was the owner. Some much potentialMore
