Quaint atmosphere, music on the weekends, great bar and outstanding food. There is something on the menu for everyone! We love the burgers and their pizzas are great as well.

We dine at the Black Diamond every time we are in Big Bear Lake. Food is always consistently good, service spot on with great mountain ambience. One of our favorites in BB!

Walked over from our hotel for a drink and bit to eat at the end of a long day at Oktoberfest. The game was on and there was a acoustic musical act. All good except for the $15 6 slice pizza, that was to small to be considered a medium and to big to be considered small.

We came in for a late lunch. We were seated but the host forgot to notify the wait staff that we were here so we waited around awhile and had to get up and find someone finally. The wait staff was very nice. The food was average. My husband liked his Turkey Club. My chicken Caesar had no flavor whatsoever... More

We visited with a group of 19 without reservation, the staff never hesitated to get us right in and provided excellent service. Food was great, not what I expected from a tavern!

We arrived later in the evening and ate at the bar. The band playing sounded great! Sandwiches were huge and yummy. Also had flatbread / pizza that was fantastic. Bartender was pleasant and made good cocktails.

The menu is the basic steak and seafood that is common in the area. Dinner seating is mostly upstairs and it was a little warm. The decor is 1950's ersatz rustic, more fishing lodge than romantic retreat. Prices were higher and food not quite as good as other places we ate in Big Bear. Not bad, but you can do... More

Just ate there this Friday with friends. The food was great and we had a fabulous waitress that had it together. Burger, Soup, Chicken Sandwich and Steak Salad were great! Try the Sweet potato fries. Food is expensive….burger was $15.00!!!! Bar had locals hanging out. Music was too loud…just one woman singing….

I have eaten here numerous times and have never been disappointed! I love their burgers and ribs. The braised short ribs are amazing too!

We have eaten here a few times now. We picked it at random the first time, after not being able to get into a different restaurants. We usually are in Big Bear with a group of 7 or more and that can make finding a place to eat a little more difficult. They have always been able to seat us.... More
