My wife and I decided to have a drive out today into the Peak District as the weather was nice and decided to call at the Eyre for Lunch. My husband and myself treat ourselves to a meal at The Eyre Arms at Hassop twice a week. We meet other regular diners, some who travel miles for the pleasures of the home cooking, the atmosphere, and the friendliness banter of the family team. The choice of the home cooking never disappoints us. The family team never fail to meet our... More

So, for my sons 1st birthday we just wanted a nice family meal in a nice countryside pub with good food that we would all feel comfortable in. No fuss, no silly party that he wouldn't remember, just a nice meal. Well, that was the plan! With the Eyre Arms I got this and it ended up being SO much... More

We past this pub a few times , finally got to visit at the end of the week, wish we had gone in sooner. Food really good a great full portion so don't go when not hungry. Good menu , food all freshly cooked. Staff friendly & helpful.

Our last visit to the Eyre Arms was a few years ago and the food was typical pub type fayre of reasonable quality. We visited a few days ago and were pleased to find that the whole place had been brightened up and had a fresh feel to the surroundings and the menu. We chose the burger. This scored highly... More

Came here for our evening meal whilst staying locally, the food was delicious. Staff were very friendly and there was a lot of choice on the menu. I would happily come back again!

We went here last night with friends. On arrival a member of staff asked if we were eating saying he would come and explain the menu - what he actually did was tell us what was not available!! They were about to change the menu and so had run out of many choices. I did suggest he let us know... More

Stayed over in the car park for the night in our motorhome. Popped in to the bar to ask if we could stay and have some drinks and maybe a meal and was made to feel most welcome. My meal was very tasty with crispy batter and great rustic chips. A good pint of real ale washed it all down.
