We called here today after fantastic walk along the river Derwent. The cheese on toast was very good & the smoked & scrambled egg was a good generous portion. The cakes all looked amazing so had to take some home 😋

The Eating House never disappoints. An extensive menu, something for everyone and the food is tasty. The staff are friendly and obliging. Service is quick especially bearing in mind that most is freshly prepared. There’s a great breakfast menu, many choices for lunch and the...More

Stopped in on homeward leg of long day's walk along Curbar Edge. Small cafe and surprisingly busy for the time of year. Friendly welcome (didn't mind walking boots), refreshing pot of tea and wonderful cakes - just what we needed to get us home!
