Used to visit this pub many years ago and became a firm favourite for a lunchtime treat or Sunday dinner. I was so disappointed with the new style of food served which is nothing special and a total rip off to be honest. Also not impressed that they now serve that gross duck liver pate which sealed my decision not... More

Visited before and loved the food...it's now been over decorated and over priced. No decent pub food...tapas in a village in Derbyshire? Now I like tapas , but I'd go to a tapas bar...I don't want it in a village pub on a walking trail. As a local I'm getting tired of pubs being geared towards tourists from the city... More

I wanted to have peaceful dinner but this place was so crowded, it took forever for the waitress to come! Besides that I've noticed the STILL have FOIEGRAS on their menu?!? FOIEGRAS is banned in several countries around the world! Why can't they just hop along! This makes no sense at all!

We love this place. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They always endeavour to make every visit wonderful. Dogs are welcome. Its cosy. The food is absolutely excellent. Our favourite is the calamari and the humble cauli. If you like the bridge try the Devonshire in Baslow - a sister restaurant. The same applies, the staff are wonderful and... More

We thoroughly enjoy eating here. Visited with friends last Tuesday and great as ever, food and service has always been excellent. The waitress who attended to our table was both polite and courteous. The restaurant is in a lovely setting with many fine walks to be had before dinner.

Rude owners and over priced food. I would not recommend this pub to my friends. I've been to better pubs/restaurants and got a better plate of food and with a smile for the same price I paid here!

Visited friends in Derbyshire for an Easter break and they recommended this restaurant for an Easter meal. We booked well in advance. Upon arrival it was quite busy and we could could not get a seat in the bar area, which is not their fault of course. However, the attitude of the management just sucked when we asked if we... More

the food was rotten and so was the service, not good value at all. We arrived very hungry after a long walk but nearly gave up and left because we waited so long for our food

Shepherds pie, lamb cutlet, pomme anna, chorizo.... cauliflower even.... mmm , the list of class foods in tapas size is endless, these are just a few of my favourite things......When the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I'm feeling sad.... what a lovely place to be, one with heart and soul, friendliness abounds ..... pity those protesting outside about...
