We called to make a reservation as early as we could and were offered 5.30pm although the restaurant menu said the meals were available from 5.0pm. Our party of four were the first to arrive and the tables next to us quickly filled up with couples. Our starters arrived: one was completely the wrong order. Our main meals arrived: two... More

Visited The Drovers during weekday lunchtime. Opted for the 2-course set lunch and wasn't disappointed. Attentive and friendly staff. Will be back again very soon.

Fabulous location, delicious food, friendly service - highly recommend if you're anywhere in Dundee, Angus or Perthshire vicinity. Sunday roast and smoked haddock risotto - yum!

We live locally and have known the Drovers through several changes of ownership, and several fluctuations in standard. This time we went for dinner with a group of visitors to the area who provided a neutral point of view. The restaurant was very busy (Saturday evening, including a large birthday party), service was pleasant and much more efficient than on... More

We have been visiting this place for a number of years now and the service seams to be getting worse of late. The younger staff appear to be more interested in spending time chatting to each other rather than looking after the customers. the older gentleman serving food does come across as rude and uninterested in our comments and you... We were staying locally for a week and on the last night we went to the Drovers. 6 of us all ate well and had excellent meals. We were made to feel very welcome and our dog was even given a bowl of water. We now wish we had discovered it sooner

We always have a meal at the drovers on our annual trip to the area, and we always look forward to it as it has consistently been a superb restaurant as well as a good pub. This year we had a good meal and the service, as always, was excellent, but the spark has gone out of the restaurant. It... More
